A passenger airplane flying from Armenia's capital, Yerevan, to the city of Sochi in southern Russia has crashed over the Black Sea, officials say.
The Airbus 320 plane from Armenian Airlines was carrying about 100 people, when it disappeared from radar screens about 0215 (2215GMT Tuesday).
Debris has been seen in the sea, about 6km (four miles) from the coast, says Russia's Emergencies Ministry.

All material from CNN needs to be excerpted and linked. Your post will have to be removed because it was not excerpted.

I wonder if it was shot down. Russia sells missiles to terrorist countries. God only knows who got their hands on them.

Isn't Sochi in Russian Abkhazi?
Was this mechanical failure, Islamic terrorism, or a Putin power-play?

If it was over the Black Sea, I would say probably not.
Planes crash and rarely is it caused by malicious intent.
Besides, it is too early to speculate. Too often people want to declare every plane crash a terrorist act when 99% are not.

It looks good.
If the article is short, as it is in this case, the best excerpt is a very short excerpt.

That's an ArmAvia Airlines plane. The article says it was Armenian Airlines. There's also an Armenian International Airways (formerly Armenian Airlines). The color scheme on the BBC's website doesn't match that airline, though.
AirFleets.net says that Armenian International has 1 plane in their fleet -
EK - 36001.

News reports like this tend to get details wrong early on.
I suspected it wasn't "Armenian Airlines" aircraft as they don't fly the A320.

The Airbus A-320, which belonged to the Armenian airline Armavia, disappeared from radar screens at about 2:15 a.m. local time, the RIA-Novosti agency reported. It was carrying 92 passengers -- including five children -- and a crew of eight, ITAR-Tass reported.

I wonder if it was shot down. There was an Israeli passenger jet shot down by a missile sometime after 9/11 in that general region, I think mistakenly by the Ukranian military, IIRC. Anyway, it was clear that we (USA) had sufficient intelligence capability to know for sure, so the Ukranians (or whoever it was) quickly came clean on the whole thing.

The Ukrainians were conducting an air defense exercise that day and someone fouled up and targeted the airliner.
