This should be a list of who is planning to close their business on Monday, May 1 in response of the Great American Boycott. We should compile it and boycott them ourselves if possible!
Remember to go shopping or work overtime on May 1!
Oh yes! I loved Mervyn's shoe department. In fact, I liked Mervyn's period. Great bargains.
Fox has gone sorta soft on this except for Cavuto, Gibson, Sean and to a degree O'Rowdy.
that Southern gal with the black mane also seemed sorta anti-amnesty today
Salinas talked like he shoulda been marching....Hispanic, Hispanic...damn I hate when folks cling simply on the basis of identity
color or ethno-blind my arse
The blowback really comes when the conservative Republicans will be shafted with minority status as the RINOs and some conservatives are swept from office this November.
And of course, the "moderates" in our party will blame their loss on the conservatives for being too "mean".
I actually suspect the Establishment Republicans would prefer to have the Dems in charge, so they can posture as conservatives to the home crowd, but govern as part of the Rep-Dem establishment party.
And the democrats are addressing immigration in ways you prefer?
Try paying attention to Senator's Sessions, Kyl, Cronyn and Coburn, and support them. It's not over yet. Frist, McCain, Specter, Kennedy, Biden and Reid might be surrpised.
The House is holding strong.
San Diego/Chula Vista Shopping Freepers...head on down to Bestbuy/Walmart! I haven't smiled ear to ear in a store for 20 years. LMAO...Sorry can't help myself, it was awesome! Park right up front at the store, no crowds just like years ago. Maybe bad for business, but it was good for me!
I loved Mervyn's
Oh yeah, I like the one next to Target near Midway & Rosecrans. Two great stores.
GOD I hope you're right- the House had better stand strong- if McCain gets his way it's going to be a tragedy for our country.
Bookmarking for the trip home after work.
Y'all have fun tonight! They failed.
Today is a good day, FRiends!
LMAO... You just reminded me, This morning on our local Fox news, I dont remember what the story was even supposed to be about, but the anchor said and now a story about such and such and it is NOT being covered by Rita Perez and they showed a video clip without saying a word and then continued on... My first thought was boy that sure was a major dig on one of their own...
McCain is doing himself in nationally.
I don't know yet. I'll find out when I get home.
More fun coming to Gringoland

The Mexican chain retaurants in the Dallas area are all open, which is to be expected and is fine. Most of them are reasonably authentic. Taco Cabana has menudo--how much more authentic do you need? The local Mexican restaurants seem to be closed, with one explicitly stating that they are closed for the boycott. Good luck with that. You boycott one day. I boycott you until the end of time. Never again. It's no big loss, since as someone said, what are the chances standard hygiene practices are followed?
Oh, because I lurked for 7 years and didn't join until last fall, that means I don't know grammar as well as you do? Wrong.
Wausau?
Rib Mountain?
No......
WAUSAU???? You and I MUST talk! ;)
I called and offered, but I don't think Mayor Villaraigosa is going to clean my toilet
onyx....ping some friends to this video that wardaddy posted, please.
We have "standards"!
I never said that. I said that the actions of Bush, Frist and Lott and the GOP Senate as a whole would have a depressing effect on conservative voters in November. This apathy caused by the leadership of the GOP will ironically knock out a lot of true conservative republicans - a dying breed.
It doesn't matter how closely I follow the actions of some Senator that never makes the nightly news - what is important to the masses of voters is how the GOP in general is doing and the masses look at Bush, Frist and Lott as the face of the GOP.
Most voters don't have time to evaluate the voting record of their individual senators - they look at the party. That might not be how you or I vote but it is true for the masses.
