05/01/06

Posted on 04/30/2006 9:38:02 PM PDT by Heartofsong83

This should be a list of who is planning to close their business on Monday, May 1 in response of the Great American Boycott. We should compile it and boycott them ourselves if possible!

Remember to go shopping or work overtime on May 1!

Laff if you want.

Al Gore could have won Florida even without the watermelon Green Party votes (Green on the outside, Red on the inside) if he had only gotten the communist-socialist vote in Florida.

Do you know what A.N.S.W.E.R. is?

What's more, the red dupes deny there is any communist tie to these protest movements:

Hair Balls (Apr 20, 2006)

At the other end of the spectrum, KTRH's star anti-immigration shouter, Chris Baker, added a bit of '60s nostalgia to his frothing. Taking to the air as soon as the march was over, he denounced it as "a Communist march. That's right, a Communist march." (He apparently didn't know the Spanish term for "longhaired free-love hippie freaks.")

Chicago immigration rally organizers draw support from several groups

Organizers say collaboration among groups representing the city's Arab, Asian, black, eastern European and Hispanic communities has resulted in a demonstration that could bring out as many as half a (M) million people.

I just called Don Pablos (just down the road 1/2 mile) and they're open today- although I'm not sure if it's owned and/or run by Mexicans.

That company is U.S. based, FYI (in fact, it's based in my hometown by an alum of my alma mater).

A Coalition Helper informed me about this:

Channel 5 News in Chicago will be covering
the rallies in downtown Chicago tomorrow throughout the day, I'm sure every other TV station will be doing the same. But Channel 5 will have a comment section on their website to leave any comments regarding the rallies and the national debate on illegal aliens in general. obviously the comment section will not be up until tomorrow.

Let's give them our comments! http://www.nbc5.com/index.html

Ch. 5 will be displaying the comments during their newscast. A great opportunity to let the rest of America know that there really is another side.

For those in Chicago that site also has a planned map of the event.

I am going to call the company in a few minutes. I asked the manager (in a shocked voice) ... "So you hired illegals?".

He said "NO".

But he was the only one in the cafe.

When I was growing up, (in the upper Midwest), May day was a huge holiday

I don't know about "huge" holiday but some do celebrate it. The first year I was married, my (very Reformed) ex-mother-in-law wished me a "Happy May Day". That sort of blew my mind, because I had always associated May Day with this...

Excerpt from your link: "The packing industry has gone through an evolution in labor force starting in the 1960s. Prior to that time the average packing plant worker made $15-$20/hr. with full benefits and a healthy pension. Many local kids went off to earn a four year degree only to come back and work in the plant because it was the highest paying job going. Then in an effort to achieve sector dominance IBP the largest packer at the time began importing labor starting with VietNamese but evolving into predominatly Hispanic, wages were slashed to slightly better than minimum and the pensions evaporated. When IBP did it, all plants were forced to follow suit to compete. Hence the situation we have today. It the reason meat prices have experienced the slowest "inflationary creep" over the past 30 years of practically any commodity."

These comments support my position. IBP is owned by TYSON. I understand the average pay is around $8/hr now. In order to compete the whole industry had to hire illegals.

Why don't they ship in some Dentists and Doctors. Open up some low cost clinics. This would be meaningful savings to the public. HA HA Fat Chance!!

I want to show some ISSUE ORIENTED INTERNET SOLIDARITY. We know that Tyson is hiring illegals. They closed plants today in support of them.

A perfect opportunity. Bust their chops and we may get some respect from our deaf and dumb Senators.

:)Easy Does It:)

Could not find 800 number. In fact, I had to work to find a phone number on their website. You can reach them at 479-290-4000. I used my cell minutes. Their consumer affairs rep told me they are not supporting the "rally" but they had to close down because they had no workers to do the work. I asked if they had that many legal and illegals working there that would cause the plant to shut down. She told me they don't hire illegals. Good for them. I asked if the people who did not show up for work would be paid for the day. She did not know. I asked if Irish people who did not show up for work on St. Patricks's Day would be paid.....or do they not have Irish people working there. She assured me they do. I informed her, in any event, I will not buy Tyson's products.

Why America's government invites rampant illegal immigration

Did you know that the powerfully influential Council on Foreign Relations – often described as a “shadow government" – issued a comprehensive report last year laying out a five-year plan for the "establishment by 2010 of a North American economic and security community" with a common "outer security perimeter"?

Roughly translated: In the next few years, according to the 59-page report titled "Building a North American Community," the U.S. must be integrated with the socialism, corruption, poverty and population of Mexico and Canada. "Common perimeter" means wide-open U.S. borders between the U.S., Mexico and Canada. As Phyllis Schlafly reveals in this issue of Whistleblower: "This CFR document asserts that President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin 'committed their governments' to this goal when they met at Bush's ranch and at Waco, Texas, on March 23, 2005. The three adopted the 'Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America' and assigned 'working groups' to fill in the details. It was at this same meeting, grandly called the North American Summit, that President Bush pinned the epithet 'vigilantes' on the volunteers guarding our border in Arizona."

Mexico wants a North American EU

The NAFTA trade corridor takes a transportation system from an east-west orientation, created to unify the continental United States, to a north-south one, a funnel down which the production of Canada is drawn into the US, and goods shipped to Mexican ports from China can be drawn up. One can only conclude the intent is to unify the three nations in the same manner as the continental railway unifed the US states.

Since these ungrateful creeps make most of their purchases from welfare and send most of their saved money back HOME to Mexico, I seriously doubt whether their boycott will have any effect on the May retail sales numbers.
