If you go to a college campus, watch television or go into a bookstore, you’re like to see these suspects: people like Al Franken, Michael Moore, Noam Chomsky, and Ralph Nader. They talk about a whole host of issues. They talk about affirmative action. They talk about economic justice. They talk about the importance of regulating corporations and avoiding entanglements with corporations.

We also have people like Hillary Clinton, Barbara Streisand or Nancy Pelosi. Some of these people on the liberal left actually are in positions of power and authority. When it comes to debating them and arguing with them, you probably have had the same experience I have, and that is that oftentimes people on the liberal left pose as our moral superiors.

In other words, when you end up debating an issue, the issue no longer becomes whether the policy makes sense. The issue becomes, Who is more morally clean? Who is superior in moral terms? For example, if you oppose their economic agenda, you’re greedy! It’s the end of the debate. If it is a question of their environmental agenda, and you oppose it, you are a polluter. When it comes to the issue of labor unions, if you don’t support the agenda of labor unions, you are heartless—end of discussion. And of course, if you oppose affirmative action quotas, you are a racist and a bigot.

This is something that we’re probably all used to and, if you’ve been on a college campus recently, you realize that what the liberal left oftentimes pushes these days is not a series of policies, but an ethic or new way of living. Essentially what they’re doing is their going to college campuses and they’re telling young people that, if you want to live a morally clean and .....

Long article but well worth the read. Good ammo for the next argument with your liberal "friends".

What does this actually mean in practical terms? Let me give you the bottom line. Ted Kennedy supports an inheritance tax of 49%. Forty-nine percent of what you have goes to the IRS after you die. Now, what rate did the Kennedys pay? The Kennedys have transferred $300 million, this is all according to their records, they have transferred $300 million from one generation to the other, and out of that, they have paid $132,000 in taxes, which is nowhere near 49%? Actually it’s .004 percent. The Kennedys, like a lot of other people on the left, love the idea of paying taxes for other people. When it comes to themselves, they’re not so interested.

That is why I hate liberals. They want YOU to live according to their Marxist ideas - for themselves, they want nothing to do with it.

Don't fool yourself. Libs don't care about facts, truth, and hard data.

I wonder if Kennedy's body guard gets perpetual overtime. I would think that a "body"guard should get paid on a pound-for-pound basis.

I noticed in the window of the bookstore at Pace University (NYC), among the displayed books was the one about Hillary Clinton ("...how far she will go to be president...") Can't recall the title; the cover photo was not flattering.

Pound for pound, body guards.
I hope they are all Union, if not they should be. The left loves the unions.

That is very true!! I got into a discussion with a left leaning co worker about man made global warming. I didn't take a side, i just simply said there is not a consensus in the scientific community that global warming is man caused. i showed her data from a chart from NASA that showed rising temps correlating with increase sunspot activity. I then said its not treated like the debate it is, but the media treats it like fact(man caused global warming). She told me,"So you are for pollution." The difference between us conservatives and liberals is we are willing to live by our policies. You know liberal policies are bad when they would not even live by them!!!

Does a photo of Hillary exist that is flattering? Here hips have to be three times the girth of her chest. She looks like an inverted "T" and she's aged about as gracefully as a piece of suede left out in the elements throughout the winter months in the snowbelt.

That's a pretty good bookstore that shocked me by having both the Fair Tax Book out and Hannity's book displayed. Probably because Pace has a big business school population.

I've lost two "friends" over the years by daring to argue against their liberal positions and winning the arguments. And they've both turned their husbands against me. It's just not a rational belief system. Thank you Mssr Derrida.

Quoting: Limosine libs to the masses: We've got ours. Screw you.

Consider a similar view: Priests and pastors do no productive work and get tax-exempt status.

Achieving wealth from selling a product. Having willing purchasers from willing suppliers is the essence of free enterprise.

I've thought that, but it goes beyond a pear. It's more like a ball with a stick stuck in it.

Ever see "I Married an Axe Murderer"? Remember the part where "dad" says to the family regarding the one son, "His head looks like an orange with a toothpick in it."

I tend to think the opposite when I think of Hillary. Kennedy and Hillary would make a nice couple aesthetically. And please, no pics for any wise guys out there. Or at least wait until after lunch please. :D
