It's bothersome that Bush will stand there after being heckled by some butcase lib and say "Isn't free speech wonderful?" and smile. Then, when an incident like this happens, they go after her for jail time?!?

"It seems extremely hypocritical for the White House to roll out the red carpet for a world leader whose government supports the trampling and crushing of human rights. And, at the same time pursue prison time for a women fighting to end religious persecution and violence."

That's not hypocrisy. Those two actions are consistent with one another.

Some Christian leaders are protesting the Bush administration decision to seek up to six months in federal prison for Wenyi Wang,

And John Kerry comes within one state of being elected POTUS.

What a country we live in.

More here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1602444/posts?page=2#2

From China Embassy

Tang Jiaxuan : be high alert against Falun Gong & Dalai Lama

From this this thread

China harvesting inmates' organs, journalist says

Excerpt:

A Chinese official was the first person to reveal that secret medical work was being done at the Liaoning Provincial Thrombosis Hospital of Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine, in Sujiatun, a suburb of Shenyang, the major city in northeastern China, he said.

Mr. Jin then said he found out that a large underground prison was built beneath the hospital and that members of the outlawed Falun Gong religious group were being held there. As many as 6,000 people are thought to be held prisoner at the underground facility, he said.

The hospital is harvesting the organs of the prisoners, including kidneys, livers, and eye parts, he said. The organs are then sold to people, from both China and abroad, who need medical organ transplants.

This is disgusting. Call your congressmen and demand a resolution denouncing Chairman W for this bullsh!t unless she receives an unconditional pardon immediately. We're being overrun by illegal aliens and the press commits sedition/ treason on a daily basis, and he chooses to go after this lady for exercising freedom of speech.

Man. Woman flees opressive China only to get sent to jail in the U.S. for exercising her new-found "freedoms".

I don't care who you are, that's ironic right thar!

I don't know that this lady broke the law but if she did I believe she should be prosecuted like any other lawbreaker should be. I think it's time to stop picking and choosing who should be prosecuted and who shouldn't. If a law is wrong, change it.

There's no way W. will allow Wenyi Wang to be prosecuted or held for any length of time. She said much of what he probably wanted to be said against the illegitimate communist/totalitarian regime currently occupying China.

It's encouraging that she spoke for so long to that audience.

It will probably all just fade away, IF it is handled discreetly. The woman was wrong, Commie Hu even more wrong to honor creepy Gates before meeting with the POTUS, but there is no way this woman will see any jail time for a internationally televised faux pas. Who is the only person who wants this to go away more than the protester?
George W. Bush.

p.s. I don't think the woman is wrong in her passion. Those evil Commies are killing people for profit, and that isn't going to stand for long with a Bush White House. The more information that comes out of Communist China, the more they will have to give concessions to the West.

This is an emotional argument. She is being charged with breaking laws. Either she broke them or she didn't. That's what a court will decide. I think she personally threatened a head of state and think she should be held accountable for that. Whether it is for a good cause or not is irrevelant.

Why is this protester being arrested and yet Mary O McCarthy is still free.

Who did the greater harm?

Title 18 USC, Sec. 112. Protection of foreign officials, official guests, and internationally protected persons is the statute most frequently being discussed with regards to this incident. It's noteworthy that the very statute includes the verbiage:

(d) Nothing contained in this section shall be construed or applied so as to abridge the exercise of rights guaranteed under the first amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

Yep we sure live in a Free Country. Every Foreigner on the Planet can have free expression here, have the red carpet thrown out for them, be given jobs, free health and dental care, welfare, what have you.

Let one Citizen say something not politically correct and god help you arse.

This is NOT the America I remember and it damn sure isn't the America I want to die in.

Whoever made this decision to prosecute this woman should him or herself be thrown into jail for gross stupidity.
