You know since the announcement has become a lot more "real" and Tony has "disappeared" from FR, I have had a degree of shock and loneliness that wasn't there when it was just a discussion about probabilities. I still think it's a Wonderful thing for the country, but I do feel a little stranded here in the morning. I'll just have to look forward to my Rush fix at 12...Does anyone else feel that way?
You have described exactly how I feel.
Kinda seems wierd this morning....that's for certain.
I've been away for a couple of hours...just got back. I completely understand what you mean- I bet many will feel sad and empty for awhile. Tony will be a fantastic PS...but he will not be "our" Tony again for a long time.
He will miss us too...he is about to hit major culture shock and have many adjustments ahead.
I'm so proud of him and know he will make important contributions to the administration.
I feel exactly the same way. Although I don't usually post much on this thread, I read it almost every day.
Rush is not on today - he has a sub - but I forgot who it was supposed to be.
>Does anyone else feel that way?
Oh yeah. I have that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach.
I hope Tony finds someway to say goodbye.
I understand why it has to happen this way, but that doesn't make it any easier.
And more to the point...when do we stop tuning in at 8/9eastern to see if he's here. And who will take his place? Mornings are going to be so empty now! :o(
I do like your idea of a thread for the White House Daily Breafing.
I feel very sad as well. Its like loosing a friend. How strange is that?
I do! I am surprised at how I feel. It's almost like a death in the family.
