There hasn't been a fiscally conservative member of congress since Dick Armey retired.
Sad, really.

Could Nancy Pelosi's Congress be worse?

An emotionally laden idiotic question. Of course it can always be worse.

unfortunately both parties have taken themselves to their respective lunatic fringes and have little to offer in terms of meaningful policy.

On the "spending" side some of what Joe Scarborough says makes a little sense - But the reality is we are living through a time period where single issue voters no longer have the luxury to be such.

The Democrat party today is simply of such a low class that these people cannot be allowed to hold a majority in either chamber of Congress. Our soldiers deserve better.

The GOP clearly hasn't handled every situation in a manner in which many of us would like....but there are times to step away from them and times not to. This is a time in history where the ilk of the Democrat party cannot be allowed to hold a majority in any branch of Gov't.

Our GOP base needs to come together one more time this Nov. Again..our soldiers deserve it.

I've echoes a similar sentiment to the one that Scarborough promotes in this article. It really doesn't matter who controls the Congress at this point, because true conservative policies are not being implemented anyway.

It may even be better to let Democrats take control of Congress, because maybe then the President will finally use the veto pen. Another advantage would be that the Democrats would immediately launch impeachment hearings against the President, which would be great because the truth would come out, nationally televised, and would debunk Democratic talking points all over the place.

I think it would be good if one of the two houses at least fell to the Democrats. Probably the Senate. It's not like the Senate has done anything good recently anyway.

Oh yeah Nancy Pelosi will be odious to see and hear, but I still don't care. Without the House Bush could actually be impeached but I still don't care. He won't be removed and the WOT will continue. The Rats will look like idiots impeaching him, and the Republicans will (have to) sober up and not take the base for granted. I'm not buying "the stakes couldn't be any higher this year" again. Maybe vote Libertarian.

It is very bad indeed, but it can get even worse.

Joe nailed this one.

Joe Scarborough is a legend in his own mind!

Joe's been getting a DNA transplant from Chrissy Matthews!

What were his major contributions when he was in Congress?

That pesky Justice dept. going after scoundrels like pedophiles and in country terrorists and Homeland security...well! We should get rid of those two now!

Joe needs to take a deep breath and think about the world since 9-11 and even further back. If anyone he needs to take aim at the dems and specifically at the limp wristed RINOS who have made it easier for the dems to play politics. Even so the great and historic successes of the Republicans somehow fade away into smoke when Joey comes to town brandishing his indignant populist demagoguery.

What a jerk!

Conservatives waited and waited for a Republican congress and a Republican President...

...they let us down...waisted the opportunity...makes me sick!

Today's Republicans have shown themselves to be unfit for governance.

But the Dems are even more unfit.

Fear for the nation.

Me Scarborough..I don't know if your pea brain can handle macroeconomics (somehow I doubt it) but this Leavey/Stuart article from Foreign Affairs might help...

I hate to say it, but would this Congress been more fiscally conservative if Gore won?

Could Nancy Pelosi's Congress be worse?

Yes

The Democra6s and their traitorous allies would surrender this republic to their allies who are our enemies.
