You miss the message. The point he is making is that the republican congress has behaved in ways that make democrats look good.
Probably the question he was intending to ask... the one that has been going through my mind a lot lately.... would 2 years of Democrat rule be THAT bad????
If there was a way to ensure that the Dems would only get 2 years, I would be very happy. In fact, I am willing to double my efforts in 2008.

I dunno. Fundamentally, it doesn't matter what government does, it matters what it spends. Government is what government spends - It's not important, other than constitutionally mandated items, what the money gets spent on.
On that measure, government spending, it's hard to imagine Democrats spending significantly more than Republicans have managed to - it would just be different things.

The Dims will balance the budget by cutting off funding fo the military. That's how it was done inm the 1990s. DoD was the only department that got a cut.
You may get a chance to see majority leader Pelosi first hand next year and I will guarantee you it will be much much worse. She may even be President after they get that little nasty business of impeachment out of the way - just noodle on that for a moment - Nancy Pelosi as President. I will renounce my citizenship and move away to some far country (perhaps to the beach in Mexico since they are taking over anyway).
