Seems to me that they all seem pretty aggressive.

If he just adds:

BUSH = HITLER Blah, Blah, Blah

he could do the democrat response to the President's weekly radio address.

Last I checked, there were 22 significant armed conflicts in the world today, of which 18 have to do with Muslims attacking non-Muslims. There has undoubtedly been an upsurge of Muslim violence around the world over the past 50 years, as ther has over the past 1,000 years, of which the US-Israel vs Arab Muslim conflict has been the preeminent although hardly the most deadly.

Unless there is a reformation of some sort within Islam, this situation will likely persist for decades to come. It would be helpful if Islam were to develop some unity of message (of peace and tolerance) and perhaps some organizational hierarchy through which this might be carried. Barring that, many on all sides will be killed.

'24' is probably on during 'War Stories' or something and I miss it. My friends tell me to watch it, but I just seem to miss it.

["Did he tell us to "vote for Hillary" yet"?......]

Haven't the terrorists so much as admitted that they plan to wait out the Bush presidency because he actually counter attacks and then goes on the offensive, hoping for a Democrat administration that they expect to be supine?

Yup! They are definitely waiting for another Jimmy Carter to be elected. Until then they'll bide their time with us. But I'm sure if Carter's too much to hope for, they'll just as well settle for a Russ Feingold, Gore, Lurch ,or Dennis Kucinich presidency to come along. .........GOD help us!

you said - So don't paint with a broad brush.

Yes, I painted with a broad brush and I shouldn't have.

Can I ask you a question(s)? Why do I feel comfortable in saying that the vast majority of college professors are liberal, commie, socialist, atheistic demorats? Is it because a lot of them ARE liberal, commie, socialist, atheistic demorats? And are they liberals because they are professors and they are smarter then the hicks who believe in God and Country? Do they know something that I don't? Should I bow down and hang on every word they say since they are the majority in the classrooms (and must be smarter then the rest of us)?

For the record, I tried to think like a liberal once. I just wasn't willing to blow 90% of my brains out and cut my manhood off.

You said -- "Prayer is not despair."

Well, then... I would suggest this prayer --

"And, insomuch as we know that, by His divine law, nations like individuals are subjected to punishments and chastisements in this world, may we not justly fear that the awful calamity of terrorism and war, which now desolates the land, may be but a punishment, inflicted upon us, for our presumptuous sins, to the needful end of our national reformation as a whole People? We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved, these many years, in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!

It behooves us then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness."

That is..., if you do pray and have the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as the object of your prayers...

Regards,
Star Traveler

Who would you speak for? If you can't speak for your countrymen, your neighbors, your friends, co-workers and family -- including those you might have bitterness towards or might at times feel are fools, then whom do you speak for?

What god do you imagine hears your prayer?

Who is the ruler of your Heart?

Are you waylaid, your skin torn from flesh, tortured by bands of evil men, your family ruined and slaughtered before your eyes, your city emptied and destroyed? If that is the case maybe then G-d would in that moment or near moment of pungent remembrance bear the cry, the prayer of the tears, for vengeance, for rebuke -- only then of a such a shattered heart, emptied of all pride and hope.

Here, today, what part of you makes this call for rebuke? From pride's boldness may G-d never hear a prayer for such as you ask -- for vengeance, for rebuke! That is my prayer.

OK you said - Iraqi's Thank America (Wow, this is moving!)

I am convinced there are good Muslims. I am also proud of the Kurdish people. They have endured hard times and they have chosen Democracy. I hope that we can help bring the Kurds hope and a future. I hope we can bring all the people of Iraq hope and a future.

I may be a dreamer, but what if Iraq became the next Japan. With all their oil, they could be bigger and better then Japan. What if the Japanese brought the Iraqi people jobs through a Mitsubishi plant? What if HSBC set a bank up in Iraq? What if GE brought them jobs by bringing appliance factories? What if Levi Jeans put in a plant? What if the Iraqi people dumped so much oil on the world market that they would force the price per barrel to fall over night? I know that right now, those factories would get blown up. But what if we can bring some sense of security? If the Iraqi people can help themselves by helping us get rid of evil doers, then security will come. It won't come without the help of the Iraqi people. They have the choice. They can choose to help evil doers or they can choose to have hope and a future. I think a lot of good things could happen and it is worth fighting for. It makes me feel good that the Kurds are appreciative too. Thanks for listening.

Well, you and I agree on the preferred outcome. It's just a question of how we get there.

Probably 90% of all Muslims believe devoutly in the basics fo their religion, because that is al they have known since birth combined with the fact that no form of Islam encourages questioning thought, but aren't burning with hatred and spend most of their miserable lives finding twigs to burn and trying to keep lice out of their kids hair.

I recoil at what this program implies, but Islam is like a loathsome virus. Somehow, we have to get it ALL, every book, monument, mosque, and memory. It needs to be erased from the planet, there is not a doubt about that.

But what should replace it? Frankly, I am not too concerned with that. I think it most appropriate that it be whatever religion predominated before ancestral peoples were converted at knife/sword/gun point. Iran could go back to Zoroastrainaism; Pakistan and India to Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, or any of the smorgasboard of religions at home there; Indonesia to their syncretic Hindu/Buddhist amalgam; and most of the Middle East to Christianity. The important point is that whatever religion people might choose, it wouldn't be Islam.

I was saying that I think great things could happen in Iraq and not all Muslims are bad. The Kurds proved it to me.

As far as being up to date, probably not. If you mean all the car bombs and US troops dieing over there. Yes, I have heard all that because that is all I can get on my TV and newspaper.

I have heard that al quada is leaving Iraq and heading towards Palestine and Afghanistan.

http://wizbangblog.com/2006/04/14/zarqawi-and-al-qaeda-leaving-iraq.php

I know that there is now a stock market in Iraq. I know that Pepsi is employing people. I hope that the Iraqi people will choose a Kuwaiti style Democracy and live peaceful.
