Thank you. I really feel that Landrieu would be our worst nightmare!

I still feel really bad that Nagin has gotten such a negative national spotlight on him. I have met him several times and always found hime to be personable and sincere. I do think he fell apart during the Katrina mess, but with his hands being tied by the governor, I can't even imagine what he must have had to deal with and I don't know if very many people could have done that much better. There are not many Rudy's out there!

Couhig is playing the ross perot spoiler role in this election.

I guarantee you the runoff will be between landreiu and nagin but forman would have been in the runoff if you add up couhig and forman's votes.

Couhig's voters would have voted for forman before landreiu and definately before nagin.

Now we won't have a choice in the runoff thanks to the sane vote being split up.

But Couhig got the publicity he wanted unfortunately the city will be worse off having the rat landreiu or nagin.

You are right--he did fall apart, however I believe that Landrieu would be the worst thing that could ever happen in this election. That is why I voted for Forman.

You hit the nail on the head I think. I don't think Nagin is a stupid man either but after Katrina he was in way over his head. The bottom line is he is not a leader and has been floundering ever since the hurricane trying to appease everybody. That won't work. New Orleans needs somebody with the guts to tell it like it is. Some areas should be rebuilt and others shouldn't. Couhig is the only one who has been doing that but looks like he's not going to make it.

ALot of people are going to be looking at Mitch's numbers tonight. If they are weak Mary might even have a Dem challenger to her in the Senate Race. That would be awesomeee. lol

I couldn't shake my gut feeling about Couhig. I have met him a few times and he is a jerk. I just couldn't do it. I know I shouldn't base my vote on that, but I don't like him personally. Not a nice person.

I'm surprised Peggy Wilson is showing so poorly.

But then again I could give a dog squeeze what happens to New Orleans after they "jacked" the US. I'd probably write in "Caterpillar" and hope that they become very busy bulldozing 75% of the City to get 25% above Sea level.

Nothing personal, we only need 25% of that City, the other 75% was a Crime, Drug, Disease, Welfare infested burden to society.

With 4 percent of precincts reporting, Nagin led with 32 percent of the vote, followed by Louisiana Lt. Gov. Mitch Landrieu with 30 percent and businessman Ron Forman with 21 percent. Nineteen others trailed far behind.

Don't worry about Morial and Forman. Moriel organization(LIfe) had Mitch on their ballot today as I predicted. Mitch gave Cleo and the Morial surrogates money for their support
