Update: CIA Officer Fired for Leaking Classified Info to Media

WASHINGTON — A CIA officer has been relieved of his duty after being caught leaking classified information to the media.

CIA officials will not reveal the officer's name, assignment, or the information that was leaked. The firing is a highly unusual move, although there has been an ongoing investigation into leaks in the CIA.

One official called this a "damaging leak" that deals with operational information and said the fired officer "knowingly and willfully" leaked the information to the media and "was caught."

Been in and out today- trying to catch up on all this.

What strikes me is..there seems to be a small (relatively) well-connected collection of people on the left who know each other, who serve on this or that committee, teach in various universities and are devoted to something very ugly. The connections between all these people just boggle the mind.

This is remarkable- what we're seeing is how it IS- not how we view it from our little tv and computer screens.

Every rat eventually gets their due. At least we finally are seeing some action being taken to muzzele those that would disrupt any positive progress in the wot due to their political ideologies. If examples are not now made (job loss and criminal charges coming forth), this crap is just going to continue.
