I bet Hu could offer Bush some great advice on how to deal with dissent.

Bush: "Sorry, Hu - it's America and we can't run over our citizens with tanks when we disagree with them."

Why? She's doing what the U.S. Govt. stopped doing years ago: Holding the Communists to account for their human rights abuses and not giving them sweetheart trade deals. We used to call it "linkage." Now, as with illegal immigration, the Whiskey-Tango politicians have caved in.

uhhh... (shakes my head).

That was not a very bright move. Many people died so this woman can say that. But, to make the visitor really feel at home, they locked her up and charged her too.

Tell that to Janet Reno.

I suppose protocol demands it. Personally, I'd rather smooch Helen Thomas than apologize to a Communist Chinese government official.

Well, then again...

Yes. it's just terrible when we make murdering tyrants feel uncomfortable. Maybe another 21-gun salute & keys to the White House will smooth things over.

They locked her up???? and charged her????

Do we even have a Constitution anymore or is it just a display item for a museum?

I am getting sick of both parties. I have no idea why I ever voted for this guy.

Bush: "Sorry, Hu - it's America and we can't run over our citizens with tanks when we disagree with them."

No, we just arrest them.

BTW, I found a Reuters article on this. The woman was chanting things like "President Bush, make him stop persecuting Falun Gong." Protesting for religious freedom -- what a nutcase!

Probably a good thing that I didn't have a chance to tell the yellow dog what I think of him and his fellow commie bastards.
How about our trade imbalance there shorty?
How about your repression of freedom there shorty?
How about selling body parts there shorty?
How about supporting N. Korea and the invasion of Napal there shorty?
I can go on here but suffice it to say rather then kiss this chi-coms ass I'd let him hear what for.
Hey there Mr. Gates, haven't you made enough money so as to no have to prostitute your p.o.s. ass?
