Suspicious? Must be new evidence for the Durham DA.

Probably just a forgotten briefcase or other carryon.

I'm starting to get a "boy who cried wolf" reaction to these types of reports.

Suspicious device found at Atlanta airport

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport officials say today that the main security checkpoing of the airport has been closed because a suspicious device was detected in a screening machine.

Airport spokeswoman Felicia Browder says the airport still is open and is operating.

She says federal Transportation Security Administration workers detected the suspicious item inside a bag just before two p.m..

She says airport passengers have been undergoing airport screening at a smaller checkpoint near the airport's "T" gates.

Browder says an airport explosive detection unit has been deployed.

"She says federal Transportation Security Administration workers detected the suspicious item inside a bag just before two p.m.. "

She further says that the woman carrying the bag looked really embarrassed during the screening. Her face turned bright red, causing additional suspicion. TSA employees are holding her and plan to confront her with the device. Further embarrassment is expected.

The journalist makes it sound like a suspicious device was detected in the screening machine, rather than a suspicious device being detected (in a bag) by the screening machine (which was obviously the case.)

Given all this publicity, it has to belong to Mark Morford.
