If you can't do the time don't do the crime.

Good, maybe they will be less likely to repeat thair actions if they're looking over their shoulders all the time.

Where is that "attempting to give a damn" graphic when you need it?

Sex Offenders Fearful for Their Safety

Interesting. So are their victims; past, present, and future. Perhaps there is a correlation....

Roberts, who was convicted 13 years ago for assaulting his nephew, said he thinks people should be able to get off the list if they go a certain amount of time without committing any offenses.

Absolutely not. These people don't get better.

Awww, poor babies, cry me an effin' river.

These idiots are lucky the CAN fear for their safety. If I were queen, they'd be dead already. But that's just me, and I'm kinda hard-assed.

Why are molesters treated more harshly than killers?

Yes, they've done heinous things but killing someone is worse. Why don't we have a Megan's Law for murderers too?

Maybe they should go back to jail where it would be safer?

Convicted sex offenders often expect to be harassed and ostracized for their actions.

So? What do they want? Praise?????

I think he means "go a certain amount of time without getting caught."

And for those who would like to see if any sex offenders are living in their area:

National Sex Offender Registry

There is a difference between agravated murder and justifiable homicide, I believe many might consider this the latter.

It's really scary," said Raymond Roberts, a sex offender who is listed on the registry and lives near the victims. He asked that his hometown not be identified. "I live alone. I live way out in the country and basically I could be here for days, a dead body, shot."

I would propose that having become a dead body, after being shot, he would not really care how long it took to be discovered.

I can't feel too sorry for sex offenders.

However, they shouldn't all be lumped together, either. Rapist, child abusers, hang 'em and be done with it. Some of the lesser offenses, if they've served their time, they've served their time. No registry.

If the courts were willing to follow the law, and the laws were passed that prescribed the right punishments, we wouldn't have the problems we have now due to the perverse desire to "rehabilitate" people that should be explaining their actions to God.
