I was at work talking on the phone with my wife, when she told me it felt like something just crashed into our house. After flipping on a radio and hearing of an explosion downtown, I decided to call my mom to see if she knew what was happening. When she didn't answer, I turned on the TV and saw that it was her building and knew immediately in my spirit that she was gone.
It's hard to believe she has been gone for 11 years now. The hardest part has always been my kids growing up without their "Grammy" and the change it caused in my dad. Unfortunately, he looked to "stuff" (riches, houses, travel, etc...) to fill the hole left in his heart, instead of God and his family.
PRayers for you and your family.
God bless you!
Sorry to hear about your loss okkev. Your mother is in Heaven keeping an eye on you and your kids. I will say a prayer for you all.
God bless you and keep you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your loss. Even though a number of years have passed, it still seems fresh, almost like it had happened last week.
May God continue to bless you and yours.
As if this tragedy isn't heartwrenching enough, to read a personalized account just breaks my heart that much more. God bless you, your children and your father.
I'm so sorry for your loss. If you don't mind, I will pray for your family and specifically for your dad today.
I'm so sorry.
Oh dear. Prayers going up for you, your dad, and your family.
I'm so sorry for your terrible loss.
Bless your heart and God rest your mother's soul.
Of course you feel sad on this and all other anniversaries, but I've always wondered if it's a hindrance or a comfort to you that many others are also memorializing your mom on this same day.
I'm sorry for your loss, ok kev.
