"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

There is little doubt how good Tony could be in the job. I think the bigger question is what about the syndication he has set up in radio. syndicated talk radio jobs are difficult if not impossible to jump in and out of at will. If he goes to the Whitehouse the radio syndication all goes and he knows it, tough call.
IMHO it's better not to speculate on what he will do. Wait until the appropriate time and he will tell us, other sources are all second hand.

I do appreciate Ralph Peters, but he is defending the Pentagon Bureaucracy against the civilian leadership. Rumseld is trying to TRANSFORM the military and that is difficult. I'm sure he IS a tough boss. But he's doing a great job.

My bad... they cared for their troops, which came off with the uniform. I don't give a flying Wallenda, former generals do not... repeat not, do this. You should give him a history of so-called mistakes from previous wars.
Troops call Rummy 110%, any rube can watch video of that or if Ralph ever saw him with the troops... he would know.
Don't make me call in. Ask him if Powell's writing a book or which generals are, or if Colin's running for VP.
