Question for conservatives who vote for Republican candidates every few years because the Republicans are the "lesser of two evils." P>
How is your voting strategy working out?
Since "conservative" Republicans have taken over the House of Representatives 11 years ago, the expansion of government has continued at every level. Nothing has been done to stop the holocaust of abortion. Gay marriage under the guise of "civil unions" is becoming a norm in our society. Our government continues in its Wilsonian tradition of globe-trotting and nation-building with the precious blood of American soldiers fertilizing the subjected nations, making them "safe for democracy."
Nothing has been done to deter the invasion of over 10 million illegal immigrants across our southern border. Taxation as a percentage of income is at record levels. Federal and state government debts are at record levels. The middle class of the American citizenry have the boot of the government planted squarely on their necks and continue to shoulder much of the monetary burden that keeps our corrupt governments breathing.
Conservative voters, I ask you again...How is your voting strategy working out? Have the "lesser" of evils advanced your agenda? (I really don't believe that this "evil" is lesser at all...but is merely a different flavor of evil. Much like choosing between strawberry or chocolate ice cream...the underlying substance is the same with the only difference being the flavor.)
I'm not asking if they have promised to advance your agenda (because I know their rhetoric).
I'm asking, "What has the Republican Party done for you and your cause?"
Words without actions are MEANINGLESS.
To use a quote from one of my all-time favorite superheroes in one of my all-time favorite movies (Batman Begins), "It's not what you are underneath that matters, but what you do that defines you."
In politics, it's not what you SAY that matters...but what you will DO once elected to office...
Until there is a paradigm shift in the thinking of conservatives, our nation will continue slouching toward certain destruction...Until there is a revolution in the minds and thought processes of dyed-in-the-wool conservatives who regularly vote Republican, there will be no legitimate change in our nation's course...Until the conservatives arise from their mental dormancy and slumber, our nation will continue to creep toward certain judgment.
Conservative brothers and sisters...OPEN YOUR EYES!
Falwell is suffering from demintia.....McCain in is heart hates guys like him.
have they called????what did you say?
I am not for voting straight ticket all the time. I go by the candidate. But, something about the Constitution Party just bothers me.
Yes. But they were not in favor of treaties that went on in perpetuity, as these do.
All treaties can change. Even these.
Right on! And nothing will make them listen faster than to make them lose an election (an off-year, non presidential election at that) due to the votes going to a more conservative party. And if they (the Republicans) don't wake up, then the Constitution Party will emerge to become the second major party.
Well, we haven't eneded up with a Bill Clinton in the White House since the Ross Perot third party debacle put him there for 8 years.
If enough conservatives had voted Constitution Party in 2000, we could now have the joy of Al Gore in the White House.
Vote Constitution Party in 2006 when possible.
Great! Then we can end up with more Democrats in Congress and, in 2008, we can end up with Hillary Clinton in the White House.
If conservatives want Congress and the White House to be controlled by the Democrats, by all means, split the conservative vote.
If you want to change things for the better, ditch the vote-splitting minor parties, run with your platform as a Republican and change the character of the Republican Party to your liking.
The problem is that they change at a glacial pace, and usually wind up costing us plenty.
It always amuses me to hear this. The same people who say that voting for another party is a waste of time and unrealistic tell us that we should just change the republican party from within. Yeah, that's realistic.

We are in the middle of a war, this is not the time to prove a point. The Dems, if they get control of Congress, will pull us out of Iraq too soon and with our tail between our legs.... or worse, not fund our efforts and leave our troops wallowing.
Perhaps worse. Recently just found out that a reporter in Seattle lets two out of state reporters use his vacation home on Whidbey Island as their "residential address". They have voted in our last 8 elections. Nothing is ever done to rectify many, many accounts of such incidences.
Don't go bringing up the issues with the fringies. They know that half a loaf in no better than none.
Of course she believes it, she's a government shill.
Her post:
Listen, bub. I work for Republicans because I believe in the Republican party.

I copied that at the time, I checked it out before sending to you but "unfortunately this thread has been pulled". Hey, she works for the Republicans. You don't get a say in this.
The Republicans know what they need to do if they want to prevent that from happening.
Agreed, he is knocking some heads. Just let me know when someone from the Holy Republican Party comes out and advocates what really needs to be done, withdrawl from the UN. As it stands now, we are still spending far too much time and money on a glorified debating society that does not act in our interests.
If the Con Party was a waste then that would be an improvement over 2004. The Con Party actually joined JOHN F. KERRY in calling for a recount of Ohio, which we in Ohio had to pay for. Unless the Con Party was so delusional that they actually thought a recount would give THEM Ohio (unlikely, but possible given their distance from political reality) then their support of Kerry showed their true colors -- stooges for the 'Rats.
The Con Party draws fewer votes nationally than the number of people the Latinos can put on the streets in one large city. With such low numbers their strategery doesn't matter -- neither do they.
The fundamental flaw in the argument of the third party losers is that they reduce the two major parties to one identity each -- i.e. "there are no differences between the two parties". Really? No differences between Ted Kennedy and Tom Tancredo? No differences between Cynthia McKinney and Jeff Sessions? Do you third party geniuses realize just how foolish you sound?
