Well, for full disclosure, I didn't remember they were all generals.
Woo-hoo! You found it. That was exactly the story I remembered reading. :-)
Thank you!
Well Doug, I got the '4.' lol
Let's see the left match that for courage of conviction!
Wonder if names of those generals exist somewhere....
Thanks all for searching your memories an/or the Internet. And now I must walk the dog, and sleep with a smile. :-)

Anytime, AR. I LOVE the hunt.
General Joulwan and General Rokke retired in July of 1997, but that was planned from back in April so I'm wondering if that was really related to any mass protest resignation against President Clinton.
LTG Rokke, any comments?
General Fogleman *did* resign in protest in July of 1997 (effective Sept, I think). Major General David A. Richwine (intel director...very significant retirement) retired in July of 1997. Marine LtG Paul Van Riper also retired in protest (of rigged war games) in 1997. General Griffith (vice chief of staff) likewise retired in 1997. Inpector General LtG Bate retired in 1997. LtGeneral Garner retired in 1997. General Shalikashvili (Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) retired in 1997 as well. So that part of WND's old story is somewhat verifiable.
Maj. Gen. John Longhouser retired in June of 1997.
But that's just 10. OK, ten generals retiring is a big deal. Did 24 generals resign in protest in 1997? I'm unsure.
We may have to wait until the deaths of these men, these devoted nad brave former generals and the reading of their wills and last testaments.
They have responsibilities to their families and wives, but Clinton can't muzzle them beyond the grave... or can he? How precient to force nondislosure statements of his disgruntled military retirees, and then use the reverse action to go after Bush and his attempts to protect and defend our nation.
Yes, the legacy is still being written. But it ain't pretty, and I pray to God that it comes back in time to stop Hillary before she starts the next round of the dismantling of America.

No way are these retired generals' statements coincidince or happenstance.
Pinz
Well, can I hope that at least a couple of them are childless widowers when they go??? ;-)
Of course, your scenario is mosre likely, but I sure hope the truth of this story sees the light of day.
Thanks,
Pinz
You are a font of knowledge. Thanks for all your background info; both on this and the Civil War.
What irony!
Can you imagine what would happen to our country if the military had control rather than civilian control over the United States Military?
You mean you don't appreciate Newt insisting that Hilary Clinton is the most informed woman in the US Senate when it comes to health care?
Guess a pretty face trumps the constituion when you reach a certain level of senility.
Well, I'm not LTG Rokke, but I know him pretty well. And his retirement was planned without regard to who was in the Whitehouse at the time.

Good hunting, STARWISE, Good hunting....
