wow, lots here.
LOL...CNN with Wolfie just showed clips of the other Sunday shows...and all were negative about Bush except Gen. Myers, trying to explain the chain of command re: Rumsfeld.
Yesterday .. my local radio guy was talking with Lieutenant Colonel Scott Rutter about the generals and their comments
He was not at all happy with what they said .. especially since we are at war .. he listed a whole slew of reasons .... he said respected their service to our country ... but said they were wrong to speak against the CIC like they did because they are retired generals who could be called back into service at any time if they were needed
He also made a comment about one of the generals that caught my attention .. I can't remember the generals name ... but he was was in Iraq the same time he (Rutter) was
Anyhow .. Rutter said that when he first heard about these comments it surprised him ... he said it was completely different from what the general said and acted like when they were in Iraq
Rutter said .. if this general had such a problem .. why didn't he say something then
In some industries such as call centres we have seen a trend over the last few years to employ people on rolling 6 month contracts where they do not have to grant holiday and do not give any sick pay. There is a believe a maximum amount of times that an employer can do and then they have to either let the person go or taken them on permanent.
Sick pay is now in some cases being phased out in exchange for a slightly higher wage. Some companies do not offer it at all and certainly do not pay higher either. The 5 week holiday became the norm at the height of the unions but new companies who have never had unions normally only grant 4 or 3 weeks. On the other hand city workers and some government workers get 6 weeks plus.
If Nelson is so dumb (and I agree that he is)...then why can't Florida find a SMART Republican that can beat him this year???
Poor Katherine Harris is getting some BAD advice to run, from what I can see. Is she jeopardizing her seat in the House to a possible DEM, by trying to run for the Senate?
If so...I am going to be ANGRY if she helps make it possible of the dems to get a majority in the House.
Note phone in the background
Back shortly need to check on turkey in the oven.
Just clip this thing on here and diddybop on back to the hooch to get this global warming thing thunk up.
Maybe you know .... this is a set from the American TV "All in the Family." That's Archie Bunker's phone, as well as his table and his stairs.
Neuuhaus denying the premise of Russert's question concerning "why so much rancor?"
They talk about keeping politics and religion seperated then turn right around and mix them together with a blender forked tongues spoke well this morning on that show !
LOL! yeah- at least that is what they call it...(being the judge)...
it is more like Freep torture! LOL! Just kidding-- It is amazing.. I am on a high-- not for the job of judging... but for the incentive to force me to read each and every post....I am so thankful for what I am learning...
usually I am way too ADHD to try and read so much.. but I traded in the silver bullets today for Red Bull....

Ah, didn't realize the EC was doing the stuff for this weekend.
I've shut up now.
Thanks be to God.
(said it first)
I went to church every day this week.
In fact, when I get in the car now to go to the grocery store, it drives me to church.
Please don't. These matters can stand some open discussion. I'm hoping Mrs Don-o will chime in here. I am not Roman Catholic - but it clear that the enemy has its sights targeted on Rome.
