Okay, you ASKED, LOL! So, you get the whole story!
When I moved into my new home, there had been a tree in the middle of the front yard that had been removed, for whatever reason, not sure about that, but it was already gone when I moved in.
There was a large holly bush up against the house, part of the original landscaping, close to 5 feet high, that found roots in the holes where the tree had been dug up, and small holly bushes starting popping up all over the part of the yard where the tree had been, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YARD.
Last Fall, the landscape guys completely dug out the big holly bush up against the house, hoping that would get rid of the smaller sprouts. BUT NO! They have developed their own root system, and are coming up again.
So, moral of the story is, when you dig up a tree, something will take it's place, LOL!

The ones on your list are important films for different reasons...but only two were made for specifically political motivations and are therefore suspect in terms of their artistic merit: Battleship and Strangelove.
Overrated Eisenstein (who merely mimicked the editing techniques of D W Griffith) finally realized what a dupe he was when Stalin began ordering him to make movies to support the kind of content he wanted. And Kubrick - a master at filmmaking - should have stayed out of politics and finally did with his later greater films.

Monday will be here before you know it. I hope it doesn't pass by too quickly though.
Actually cream cheese on rye sounds pretty good! I think I'll have to try that!

The plant that would never die. What a pain. That is so weird that a holly would do that. I will remember this rule.

The latest DVD movie I watched.....hmmmm...............can't remember the order, but the last
three I watched were "Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire", "The Notebook", and the Spongebob Squarepants movie.
I take that back, I watched "Signs" last weekend.

Oh PLeeeze! Any of Sergio Leone's films are many times better than this tripe.
Westerns? The sublime: The Searchers, Shane, Stagecoach, High Noon, maybe Unforgiven (overrated IMO)
