Anyone who cannot relate to that movie hasn't really lived. Yes...I agree... Brokeback Mountain coaxes audiences to walk several hundred miles in its characters' shoes, luring us with the scent of forbidden fruit and rewarding us with the sumptuous taste of complex storytelling.
You see...with the benefit of hindsight I could have passed that freak'n class!

Beautiful :)
Been meaning to get some golf in but instead I've been fighting my quickly springing to life yard of weeds :)

Thanks, AZ, for the red, white, and blue.

I know you have just a beautiful garden with many lovely flowers. Daffodils and all bulb flowers are some of my favorites.
Can't wait to hear about your roses!

Not to belabor the point---I'm sure you want to forget..but you've peaked my curiosity.
Let me know if you remember any of the films. Maybe one of these or more? Dr. Strangelove, Handmaid's Tale, Roger and me (and the other lies from Moore), the Soviet era films, Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and The Media, Norma Rae, ad nauseum

"Starsky and Hutch", the recent remake of the TV series, and I turned it off after a half hour. This Hollyweird trauma is vile. It showed Hutch as a cop on the take and portrayed it as comedy. No wonder the world hates us, when our film industry portrays Americans in such a terrible light. This film is an abomination. Huggy Bear is a drug kingpin. This is NOT the S&H TV show that I watched in the 70's.

It is on DVD, I got mine on EBAY.
Another great odd ball western set in Texas is "UPHILL ALL the WAT".
EBAY had a DVD listing for it but it was only in UK format. PAL?

Well, at least I'm not the hottest place on the planet tonight! Darn close, though! The thermometer in my kitchen window says it's still 78 degrees. *whew*
