Donate a 8" block and ship it to DC and you are in.

Do you realize how cool it would be if every person p*ssed off about this sh*t (illegal Aliens/wide open borders) actually shipped a cinderblock to the capitol? just a thought

After some quick and sketchy research....it looks like it would cost around $10.00 to send one brick via USPS. A cinderblock would be cool but expensive.

1000's of bricks showing up in the capitol mailroom would be fricken awesome!

More to come and how you can get in on this great idea!

Good ON ya!

On Monday, some shops here in Tucson closed so their "employees" could demonstrate. I figure if they can do without my money on Monday, they can do without it the rest of the week. And month. And year.

Send a brick and give them a choice:
Either use it to build a wall, or stick it where the sun don't shine!

Years ago I read an Abbie Hoffman (Steal This Book) book and he said that one way to discourage junk mail was to paste those postage paid cards to a brick. The offending companies were obligated to pay the postage. I never did that but I had considered it.

I used to send all of the crap in my credit cards bills back to the companies who sent it to me first with my payment, but never a brick.

If you really want to annoy the Congress there could be a mass movement to have everyone claim 10 or more dependents at work. This would reduce funding via the payroll deduction collection method. Plus you'd get to keep more of your $$$ for several months before 15 April every year.

"Might I suggest the best place to send the bricks is to the RNC, with the paper stating no donations are forthcoming? If we can get through to them, something might get done."

The next time you get a money appeal from the RNC, tape the postage paid envelope to a brick and send it away. I did this type of thing once. After a particularly bad period for the GOP in Congress, I filled the envelope with small stones weighing 4 or 5 pounds, enclosed a note that said "When you start working for the Constitution, contact me. Until then, PISS OFF!", taped it up so it wouldn't break and sent it back to them. I figure it cost them about $5 to get that back.

hurl away pretty boy!!!! If your so stupid to think all those bricks are going to end up on someones desk, you need to hurl. They, are the people working in the mail room. Smart enough to tell the USPS and UPS people to sacck the bricks elsewhere. Hurl again pretty boy, because even a clown can figure this out. One more hurl for good measure there pretty boy.

I think if you send these requiring a signature (even if it is a signature in the mailroom) it will make an impact. UPS is obligated to deliver it or you can file a claim. You should be able to track the package also.

All packages are examined very carefully, for obvious reasons. Very shortly, the plan would be discovered, and the intended recipients would never see the packages.

You're exactly right. The Senate and House mailrooms will refuse to accept them and they'll end up being shipped to a warehouse somewhere and then we taxpayers will have to pay storage on them.

An alternative might be to send each Senator and Representative a taco. That might give them a clue.

then we taxpayers will have to pay storage on them.

Who cares, at least they will be spending it like we want it spent. And the bricks will keep coming. Someone will have to give the press access to the stash. Don't be a pessimist and I know what you mean but it is better than doing nothing but bitch.

So why not send a brick to DC, and also to their official offices in each state? Return receipt required on all of them.

On it's face, I like the idea very much.

I will need to give it more thought, as I will not do anything that could hurt the President.....unlike many, I still love the guy.

Hurt what? His poll numbers? He can't run for re-election, so stop worrying about him. What's important now is making sure the people (the AMERICAN people) are heard on illegal immigration.
