Hey Mr sKerry, were there any witnesses of you at the wall last night?? Talk about a convenient statement for his appearance. He forgot about the killing fields after the Surrender with Honor agreement he forced on us, last time.
When asked about why he lost the election he basically said, I have a plan for that! What a maroon, we can only hope he wins the nomination again.

The ONLY reason I listened was because it is still too cold here to work out in the garden. You are exactly right about Kerry. He contradicted his own statement within 5 minutes of making it, and went on like it made sense.

Hayworth says we make a mistake when we think that everyone with an Hispanic surname supports illegal immigration....Bonilla quotes local Hispanic-American sheriffs who are crying out for border security.
So true. Pubbies shouldn't fall for the notion that a strong border security position is a slap against Hispanics. Many of those here in the US legally or by birth are subject to the same illegalities (property crimes, robberies, assualts) by those who take advantage of an open border (drug dealers, coyotees, etc.)

Much appreciated Morgan, but when it comes to in-depth,key critical analysis of most anything the rats are trying you are right on them. They seldom fool you.

Well, I'm glad someone was listening because we need to document his flip flops. I'm only responding to pings on this thread because if I read the thread, knowing he was a guest today, it would ruin a perfectly good day.
I honest to goodness think Kerry is insane.

Is the Hinderocker the guy from Powerline? Did he talk about these documents on CNN? I thought he was kind of dismissive of the whole issue, but I may be wrong.

In response to your #443?
The problem with immigration is that everyone discussing the issue is looking at it (and all the other issues) as unrelated to all of the other concerns going on within the administration. Everyone wants immigration fixed, but nobody wants to talk about immigration and its overall impact on our country.
One thing that nobody wants to talk about is the fact that immigration, legal and illegal has an overall positive impact on our economy. Many of you will dispute this, but not with supporting facts because there aren't any. You can talk about Anchor babies, welfare programs and all the rest, but none of those negative issues are on a par with the positives.
No politician ever got elected talking about the positive effect in the billions of dollars that our economy realizes due to illegal immigration, because most Americans have bought the spin, rather than the facts.
We all like to rail against illegal immigration because of its illegality, but nobody stops to ask why we don't really do anything about it. Who believes that a nation as powerful as ours cant stop illegal immigration if we chose to? We can blow up the Taliban on the other side of the world, but cant stop folks from streaming into San Diego? Hello?
Our country wont stop illegal immigration because we don't want them to, but we don't really know that, because we have poor economic education of our citizens. We will throw money at it to appease people, but never enough to actually do anything about it, because the economic impact of stopping illegal immigration would be beyond anything most of us could imagine.
Rush Limbaugh approached this last week in his talk about a permanent economic underclass. We may like to deny it, but it is that underclass that has made many things possible in America, going all the way back to the Chinese who worked on the intercontinental railways. Say what you will, but it would not have been possible to have built those railways at that time in history without that economic underclass. Deal with it.
We can talk all we want about how America's would do some of the jobs that illegals do if those jobs paid better, but we don't want to discuss what it will take to pay more for those jobs, and the impact it will have on our economy. I have talked about $5 heads of lettuce, but that is only part of it. Think about farm subsidies, and the taxes taken from your pocket to pay for them. Think about how much more would be asked of you to pay for the sharp increases in farm costs, which politicians will spread out to farm industries less effected by immigration, but pay big political donations instead, like the Ethanol crowd, the Cotton industry and others.
Farms who's produce is used to feed cattle, poultry and even fish farms will have their costs raised, which means what? You will pay more at the grocery store for EVERYTHING, because commodities prices subsidies everything else at the grocery store. But then, you are also paying more out of a shrinking wallet, because your taxes have gone up. All this means you have less discretionary money available for recreation and travel, which means those industries suffer too. These industries are usually at the head of the line asking the government for a handout, which will be granted gladly in exchange for a donation to your favorite politician's next campaign.
I hope nobody believes me, and goes out and runs the numbers on their own. It is time for you folks to get sophisticated about this and stop the sloganeering. You have no idea of the $hit storm you are starting with all this border talk. You can argue that I am only arguing my own self interest, but I am arguing yours as well.
Immigration, Crime, Taxes, and almost any other issue you can name, has a direct relationship to the economy, which is THE ISSUE. The only real issue that determines how laws are made government outside of direct bribing of public officials through donations.
No one has ever made a factual argument that illegal immigration is a drag on our economy, because it isn't. You can spout items related to spending for illegals and the services they use, but unless you compare it with all they do for society in terms of the overall economy, politicians will continue to feed you lip service and do whatever they want, as they should in this area.
I expect massive flaming on these comments, but somebody needs to bring some reality to this issue whose not afraid of your disagreement. The politicians will do all they can to make you think they are listening to you, but they are not. While you get angered at what you will be seeing tomorrow in all the planed demonstrations across the country, your favorite Senator or Congressman will be arriving at some retreat somewhere to relax in splendor and comfort, paid for by YOU, while being wined and dined by others whose interests are in conflict with yours. Okay, bring it on.

Understood, but that kind of money would entice more than enough willing workers. Not just young ones either. If a 50 year old American civilian contractor will go to Iraq for $11,000 a month, this would be a piece of cake.
To: MNJohnnie
Both Bush's during their presidencies failed to talk to the American people in the way you suggest, even though it's obvious they should do so. You'd think they would have learned a positive lesson from Ronald Reagan.
To: Miss Marple
Thanks, Kerry is scum.

COME CLEAN MR. PRESIDENT ABOUT THE LEAK!
E-gads.....they promote this lying clymer as if he is the be-all/end-all for the truth.
Unbelievable. ABC makes me puke!!!!

Add "doing jobs Americans won't do" and you could be talking about Bush Actually that would be Congress, but you knew that.
BTW, since you are such a "patiotic" American, when are you going to take a job picking vegetable or construction(look at New Orleans).
Also BTW, when is your hero tancredo ever going to work in the wealth producing sector. Looking at his resume he has either been on the govt. payroll(teacher, legislator) or in a non-wealth producing think tank.
Why aren't you demanding tancredo give up his $180,000 a year govt. job and work in the fields or construction.

I found InSain to be completely insulting in his statements. Shows that his temper invalidates him for Prsident. His point is well taken that there are only a certain segment that is willing to do menial labor at menial wages. Unfortunately they come from Mexico.
Many would prefer that those lettuce fields were plowed under and moved to Chile.

Thank you very much EC :) I do not think that I will go down into history and I do not think I deserve it. I am just doing my little duty and the people who should be in the heart of history are our brave troops who are fighting for our freedom and our way of life.
God Bless Our Troops.
