They were giving the test in about a dozen foreign languages.
Considering this state's road signs and street signs are in ENGLISH only, I don't see how a person can possibly be given a drivers' license without a proficiency in english.
None of this crazy pandering is new. It's just now being publicized.
Another misconception. Other countries certainly do give citizenship to anchor babies. We have two friends whose daughters were born abroad. One in Canada who has dual citizenship and another who was born in France and has dual citizenship.
great post here.
Your right, we should just plow all the farms under and buy our food from Chile so we won't need cheap labor. Now how you going to solve the construction problem, burn all the houses?
When did Conservatives become more anti-business than Libs?

Great post here! What are we as a nation without national values?
Gosh...thanks for that post....I didn't know anything about the driver's licenses or that anchor babies are "allowed" in other countries...
Thanks.
Yes....I had forgotten about the lovely cities that have chosen to not follow our laws, especially the laws written in order to try to protect their own citizens.
Dallas is one city that voted AGAINST following the Patriot Act...wonder if that has anything to do with their extreme cooperation in organizing that hugh rally yesterday...hm
Wrong, the farmer gets what the market is at the processing plant. If it is 10 cents a pound, that is what he gets. If his labor goes up a penny it comes out of his profit or loss. Farmers feed the Country and we need them to survive.
The processor also hire cheap labor which raises the prices or losses and so on. To pretend all of these steps can just raise prices ignores the forces of the Markets. You can only lose so much before the doors are closed and the economy is damaged.

"Your right, we should just plow all the farms under and buy our food from Chile so we won't need cheap labor. Now how you going to solve the construction problem, burn all the houses? When did Conservatives become more anti-business than Libs?"
Why would anyone want to burn houses?
Your post doesn't address what I said - and doesn't make sense. Being unable to understand it, I won't respond further.
Pukin is absolutely right because he understands the invisible hand of capitalism.
Fact is, cheap labor is a necessity. There is a way to solve both these problems and we need to find it.

Are you getting MNJohnnie out to FL for some fishing?
Thanks. The whole illegal alien issue is going to get bigger too, IMHO.
Hi Morgan. I'm not sure if you're a hockey fan, but another way to put this is (and with my pathetic quitters known as the L.A. Kings, I can speak from experience):
It's always said that taking penalties hurts the team that does it...ostensibly because the other team's powerplay will capitalize on the lack of players on the other side by scoring. However, if the team with the powerplay doesn't score (a la the "Kings"), that emboldens the penalty-incurring team to take liberties with the other team. Why? They know they won't make them pay.
It seems that both the Kings and the Republicans both have the same attitude when it comes to handling the powerplay: "we decline (the penalty)". (ok, this might be a stretch, but for the few of us who follow hockey, it might be a good parallel.)
Hi Christian4Bush,
Your analogy to hockey works too. The same thing happens in other sports as well. For that matter, we have the same situation in the Mid East. Israel has told us for years that the Arab Muslims respect strength and will take advantage of weaknesses. Clinton projected weakness which is why the Islamic radicals think they can beat us. Numerous quotes about how Americans don't have the will to win in Iraq, et al and etc.
I understand the proof is in the results, and President Bush and the White House has delivered, but I am concerned along with others who want to do more and make Democrats responsible for their outrageous behavior. Many people don't realize it, but there have been Democrats calling for impeachment from the first Bush win in 2000. This is not new. What's new is that more people are taking such an idea seriously and responding positively to it.
Compared to Clinton, Bush is a saint. The Democrats consider all this as payback for Clinton's impeachment. Nothing less. Sadly, they are not capable of presenting their ideas to win votes. All they can do is attack and try to manufacture hate towards Bush and Republicans.
Sorry for sounding off but I do believe it's time to fight back stronger.

Hi Christian4Bush,
Forgot to mention it, but I certainly am a hockey fan. Denver has great looking uniforms and a horrible team. Oh well, one out of two for now. Or, so far.... LOL
Of course you are. It's an argument you still cannot present a coherent answer too so you want it to just go away. Stating your opinions as fact may fool you, it does not fool anyone with even a basic understanding of Economics. Your acting dazed and confused anytime someone points out the nonsense of your emotion based posting fools no one. ANSWER the points made you. Your emotional, incoherent postings and deliberate refusal to even try to answer is growing tiresome. As has been pointed out repeatedly, simply manufacturing factiods and presting them as "Fact" is the tactics of the Left, we Conservatives have spent decades learning how to see thru this garbage. Curious how you people are so busy pushing Labor Union paid for propaganda? Just what is your REAL agenda? Bray, Old Friend and and Pukin are OWNING you guys. Simply refusing to answer their points to spew personal attacks may feed your ego, it does NOT advance your cause. That the whole problem on the Anti Illegals side. You people simply got to REIGN in your emotions and start dialing WAY up on the reason. You are acting JUST like the Moveon.org Leftists. If Conservatives were swayed by this sort of emotion based fear politics and pompous grandiose irrationality, they would be Liberals.
