Mr. President, I thank Senator Leahy, ranking member on the Judiciary Committee. I have received just this afternoon in my office some disturbing news in the form of correspondence from the Congressional Budget Office. It suggests a number of areas where the amendment we are talking about here today, No. 3424, the immigration so-called compromise, violates our budget and the rules of the Senate. Let me read from the correspondence we have received. This is something, as you know, Mr. President, as a member of the Judiciary Committee, that we never discussed at all. It is not a matter we spent any time at all discussing as we moved forward with legislation which ultimately cleared that committee and came to the floor legislation which I thought was not good legislation and which I opposed, and so did the Senator from Texas, who just relinquished the Chair. We didn't discuss the financial impact of the legislation before us. Stand Up For America ! |

Hi Enchi...
I don't know how factual the figures are. The concept and story has merit. The wild spending in Washington sure supports it though.
I just received something from a wonderful friend of mine that I work with from Pure Pursuit Intelligence Netowrk.
This lady, my friend Nena is an incredible and amazing woman. Her bio would take so long to print. Considering what she has done with and how she supports our military.
The thing about Nena is she is Mexican American with much family left back in Mexico but has such a love for her adopted country it puts many natural born citizens to shame.
This is what Nena passed along to Nena from Gen Carl Schneider, written by Dick Eaton, a US Army Vietnam Veteran
MR. PRESIDENT, I'M HEADED TO MEXICO
Dear President Bush:
I'm about to plan a little trip with my family and extended family, and I would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk across the border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a few arrangements. I know you can help with this.
I plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here.
So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, that I'm on my way over? Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:
1. Free medical care for my entire family.
2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services I might need, whether I use them or not.
3. All government forms need to be printed in English.
4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.
5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.
6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of the flag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.
7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast and lunch.
8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy access to government services.
9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make any effort to learn local traffic laws.
10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that all police officers speak English.
11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decals on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not want any complaints or negative comments from the locals.
12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws
13. Please tell all the people in the country to be extremely nice and never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I might place on the economy.
I know this is an easy request because you already do all these things for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico. I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask him nicely.
However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quail hunting with your V.P.
Thank you so much for your kind help
Sincerely,
Dick Eaton, a US Army Vietnam Veteran
Hi, SA. Am I the only one losing my appetite lately?
I am not extremely worried about tomorrow, but the increasing militance of the protestors painting themselves as "pro-immigrant" makes me feel a lot different about going out of my door.
Keeping focused on "things to do" is the best way, right?
I think 'sheana' posted this last week also.
It's really startling to look at it this way!!
No apologies needed, silly!
:)

#1 for all persons protecting America, we must stop the inflow. #2 Stiff penalties for employers to encourage illegals to self emigrate. #3 and last: Figure out what to do with those who remain.
The House is doing well. We must encourage our Senators step #1 is the only viable option. Then #2 and ultimately we will work on #3. Currently, they are trying to work on step #3 and we are all suckers because they know #3 it totally ineffective by itself.
Never forget, your tax dollars are working are paying these ineffective employees. If they continue to be self serving and ineffective, they must be voted out. We have the power to do that!
Thank you Queen!
All the Dems can do is run/hide/lie and talk about Delay and Libby
Did you see how well Sensbrenner was on Dobbs this week? He rocks!
Rep.. Bonilla brought across the most important part of ANY reform with JD today, he stressed the OTM's coming across the border
Bonilla and JD stressed the #1 priority is Border Security
It's obvious the MsM or the Dems are not going to show Bipartisian is NOT synonomous with McCain/Kennedy
Chambliss was talking about the Cost of Amnesty
12 BILLION is what the Dems Amnesty will cost
That is just the FIRST year!
It will be 30 BILLION Per year every year after
Right now we have an annual program for aliens that costs 10 BILLION
Sessions says this Amnesty for Illegals is a Budget buster they refuse to discuss
Sensenbrenner said we were brought two weeks and now he is asking us to Speak Out- Loud-Concise-Often
Dobbs said the whole shebbang most succintly with his three tier comment:
1. Secure Border's
2. Control the Border's
3. Then think about Reform
Whoops!
I just got the same in an email -
And posted it soon after yours!
