The media's playing coy with his name and ethnicity. Remember this is Canada. We may never be told either.

Their PURPOSE is Homicide, not Suicide. So was Kaczynski's and McVeigh's purpose. The difference was they weren't willing to kill themselves in the process. That is a BIG difference. Knowing that the bomber planned to kill himself (along with others) in his attack is an important detail. FOX is being idiotic with their label "homicide" bomber.

This is just the start.
Since most of the liberals live in Toronto, it is natural that this starts there first.
The most bang for the terrorist buck, no pun intended.

I could not care less whether a bomber blows himself up or not.
I care about the innocent victims.
Anyone who kills himself only is committing suicide.
Anyone who murders others is committing homicide.
Get it?

Totally agree with your comments. The term "homicide bomber" is just another type of political correctness.

"Witnesses describe a scene of panic inside the restaurant after the bang"
If you here a loud bang and you're still standing, check for holes. No holes? You'll be fine, give aid to others or walk out.

A liberal meme in the meme pool is that the problem is "Fundamentalism of any kind."
Maybe the Amish? Jehovah's Witness?

The detonator most likely misfired and didn't set off the main charge. He was probably making his final preparations for attacking the subway. That sounds about right.

If this story gets enough ink, I'm sure your prediction will be proven true: Bush (Rove/Cheney) is to blame.

well, that should rule out the "explosives strapped to his body" theory, unless they were M-80's, right?Improper mixture and or containment.

I agree. Was there anything significant going on anywhere in Toronto near there (a big game or big event of some sort)? I doubt that this guy was interested in taking out a donut shop.
Incidentally, I think there is no possibility that he was a suicide. I have a relative who committed suicide in a rather spectacular manner, and I read a lot about it afterwards. People who do things like strap themselves to a log going through a sawmill, set fire to themselves, or blow themselves up want to be seen. This is called suicide "on the head of" someone else - that is, the suicide wants everybody else to feel guilty for all the (real or imagined) wrongs done to him. So this is not the type of suicide for a men's room where nobody will see - just as the OU bomber was not committing suicide on a bench behind behind some empty buses. These were "work accidents."

In any case, I would doubt that the Tim Horton's (sort of like a Krispy Kreme in the US, I imagine) was the real target of this. I agree with you. It was probably the subway.
Aside from which, our donuts are way better.
