Just got home from work, and was listening to Joe Crummy on KFYI interview one of the dads of the kids that burned the Mexican flag:
Apparently, his kid was arrested by AJ Police and was held in detention in Florence all day yesterday. CHarged with Arson. It took all of their savings to get a retainer for an atty.
It gets better. The family is now getting death threats. They were informed by police that there are those trying to find out where the family lives, and are going after them. AJ police stated to the father, there is nothing they can do about it, until someone actually shows up on their property.
Also, there was another kid from the school (Rod, who said he was a "future" Marine) read that letter from the school, forbiding any kid to wear any article of clothing resembling or representing a flag, no matter what country it represents.
He said emphatically, that he *will* wear the US Flag to school Monday.
Apparently this flag burning was near the ROTC table.
My respect for the kids in AJ have grown a hundred fold!

TITLE 4 > CHAPTER 1 > § 8. Respect for flagIf it is legal and proper to dispose of an American that is "no longer a fitting emblem for display", then why is it arson to similarly dispose of a Mexican flag?(k) The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
One counter-demonstrator was pushed to the ground and escorted away by police, and an American flag went up in flames on Broadway near Seventh Street.
This is not the only report of American Flags being burned, trampled, or otherwise abused by the invaders. How many of them do you think were arrested for arson or for other crimes? Notice that is was a counter demonstrator that the police forced to leave. Not the invader hordes who wave the flag of the nation to which they give their loyalty - the Mexican flag, not the American flag.
We're Royally Screwn, King.
T'ain't from Mexico!
I thought we were boycotting Wells Fargo for making home loans to illegals?
His account is still open.
Are you sure it wasn't partly because he accused Sinkspur of being a member of NAMBLA?
never mind, I see this happened last week, and I'm in THIS week.
Cool!! Thanks for the ping, King!
I'm sorry, do you really think this comment adds anything to the discussion?
ping
Easy one. The anti-Republican side.
Sinkie? NAMBLA?
Sink and I are polar opposites on social politics but NAMBLA?
Thank you for the information.
Hope they have enough savings to buy a rifle and shoot back. Sorry, I respect the police, but they just said they can't do diddly about it, so lock and load.
At least as much as hedgetrimmer and sasafras did on the exact same issue - were you upset with them?
Perhaps you missed their posts #497 and 499?
Amen!
I didn't miss a thing.
I did see a common concern of yours, though, and that is the absolute futility of boycotting anyone.
To each his own, you're not going to sway too many people with your observations via-a-vis boycotting Wells Fargo; especially when the choice of using them for the fund rests with an individual who is not a member of this forum.
So, I guess I need to ask my question again...what do you expect to add to the discussion by posing your question, besides a certain sort of snide, smug condescension?
I am actually boycotting Costa Mesa businesses, so I fail to see how your comment about the "absolute futility of boycotting anyone" is relevant to me. I don't mean to come across with any sort of snide, smug condescension, but maybe it is this impersonal type of forum, with no face-to-face contact or hearing tone of voice or some other communication barrier we are hitting. Sorry to cause you so much concern.
