Proving once again what an idiot he is. He can't even get dems to support it.

Is that it?

Not even a vote?

So the whole thing was an exercise in futility and stupidity.

Anyone know how this works?

I don't understand either? No vote, or did Specter just get to decide that the issue is dead.

Thanks for that hint. I have two receiver boxes, one stationary and one that I move occasionally when the grandkids are here. I sometimes get messages on the one that I move, saying I can't access a program because of limits I've set...I've never had porn ads though!!

It was basically a total slapdown of Feingold's Censure Resolution...except by Bruce Fein and John Dean.

NO Dems except Leahy and Feingold even showed up...at one point, Leahy got mad and yelled at a witness so stongly..that we all thought he would burst a blood vessel.

One of the witnesses was in the Clinton Administration, and even HE was not on Feingold's side...LOL

Lindsey Graham did okay...but, he tended to get to "full of himself"...I think...and then he and Feingold went into the "torture memo" stuff..

Specter rapped it up, saying it was an informative hearing..but (my words)..it was a BIG OLD STUPID MISTAKE by Feingold...LOL

I am PRAYING that this will be discussed on the Sunday talk shows...but I bet it won't...sigh

Hi, Kimberly:

This "issue" was dead on arrival. Every time the Dems have called for a "debate", it's blown up in their faces.

Afterwards, Frist threatens for a vote and the Dems back down.

Does anyone else think this whole "censure" dust up (that seemed to come from thin air one day) is something of a pre-emptive strike on the part of Feingold, et.al.? I say that because last I read, DOJ was closing in on the leaks on the Secret Prisons and the NSA Program to the media, and they basically asserted they wouldn't have to look farther than the Senate. So is this a way for Feingold, Durbin, Rockefeller, etc., to try to minimize the damage THAT investigation might bring? Just a thought...
