Now showing on CSPAN 1
Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on Censuring the President for NSA Surveillance
Proving once again what an idiot he is. He can't even get dems to support it.
What the he** ever happend to Fein??? Was he not a conservative, involved in Pubbie administrations?? He looked near death a couple of years ago, and now he returns as a brainwashed Ratgroupie?
I'm cubicle-bound & can't watch. I really appreciate these live threads, though I can never keep up.
That is over the top of the cuteness scale.
;)
Feingold is still their hero.

Is that it?
Not even a vote?
So the whole thing was an exercise in futility and stupidity.
Anyone know how this works?
I don't understand either? No vote, or did Specter just get to decide that the issue is dead.
Oh, my ... I think I just heard a splash. LOL
This was an excersise in futility that makes feingold look like the idiot he is.
Ops4 God Bless America!
It was basically a total slapdown of Feingold's Censure Resolution...except by Bruce Fein and John Dean.
NO Dems except Leahy and Feingold even showed up...at one point, Leahy got mad and yelled at a witness so stongly..that we all thought he would burst a blood vessel.
One of the witnesses was in the Clinton Administration, and even HE was not on Feingold's side...LOL
Lindsey Graham did okay...but, he tended to get to "full of himself"...I think...and then he and Feingold went into the "torture memo" stuff..
Specter rapped it up, saying it was an informative hearing..but (my words)..it was a BIG OLD STUPID MISTAKE by Feingold...LOL
I am PRAYING that this will be discussed on the Sunday talk shows...but I bet it won't...sigh
Leahy: "We know the President broke the law. Now we need to know why."
barf
where'd everybody go?
No applause, this is series.
Feingold - YOU are a waste of time and charade.
marking for later
Does anyone else think this whole "censure" dust up (that seemed to come from thin air one day) is something of a pre-emptive strike on the part of Feingold, et.al.? I say that because last I read, DOJ was closing in on the leaks on the Secret Prisons and the NSA Program to the media, and they basically asserted they wouldn't have to look farther than the Senate. So is this a way for Feingold, Durbin, Rockefeller, etc., to try to minimize the damage THAT investigation might bring? Just a thought...
