Exactly this scam became counter-productive so it was ended. I IMMEDIATELY said she would not be harmed, was a sympathizer and the whole thing was phony. Everything which has happened since merely confirms my initial reaction provoked by the first video.
In all likelihood she has become Muslim.

No. It's not over yet. Her situation was very grave, and her release can't be so easily "swept under the rug." Our skepticism is justified.
Someone brought up a good point -- why was she crying terrified in her videos? Hm? Was she treated like a princess (as she's now saying), in which case she was faking her tears, or was she abused and now she's covering up for the terrorists? Tough questions that absolutely need to be answers. It's not a "private" matter.

I think you are probably closer to the truth than some of us with that statement. Its not so much her statement that I find disgusting as its the MSM handling of statement. I get the impression that we are wrong to be outraged they kidnapped this woman and killed her translator.
Great news. I could care less about her politics when it comes to something like this. Being wrong politically doesn't mean you deserve to be kidnapped and murdered by Islamic thugs.
NO we cannot refrain. This was an obvious scam from the beginning and it was immediately obvious that she was not only complicent but was NOT going to be killed.

Good observaton. The MSM wants us to believe that the behavior and actions of these terrorists are justified. They use words like freed versus rescued when American and British military forces liberate hostages. The media want to be seen as being objective, uninvolved observers favoring neither side making them immune from retribution. In reality, they have become mouthpieces and apologists for terrorists and murderers. They forget what happened to Daniel Pearl.
The first video showed her without a trace of fear and as calm as if she was at the beach. This did not work and it became clear that the scam needed help. So she then made another with the tears pouring out probably as a result of thinking about how that evil Bush was killing Moslem babies. But that one went Over the Top in the other direction and was no more convincing.
I can't imagine why anyone would keep putting up these comments that you are adding to this thread.

I will rejoice that no soldiers were harmed trying to "rescue" her from this "kidnapping". However, there was never any doubt that she was not going to be killed and that she is a complete sympathizer if not an actual convert.
She wears those glasses that automatically increase the wearer's I.Q.
