"Never before have millions of immigrants flooded across our borders, violating the law."And that is indeed the problem.

Your hornets were trying to escape from someplace they did not intend to be in and died in the process. The illegals are intentionally trying to get in and stay in, come hell or high fences. True enough, some die in the process, but it is their own flaunting of the laws of our great nation that got them in trouble in the first place. Hornets are one thing, no consciousness or thought, just programmed by God. People are another. They can and do make choices for which they must take responsibility for their actions........

If illegal Hispanics get everything they demand, then legal Hispanics will go along to get along...join in with demands for special treatment, Aztlan, La Raza, whatever. Why not? What's not to like? (Just like moderate Muslims and Jihadists. Same methodology at work.) Or more simply, the creaking wheel gets the grease, and every other wheel knows it.

Never in the past have I felt as though the people of the United States need to stop sending our taxes to the government. The citizens have a contract with the government: you provide defense, protect against invasion and apply the rule of law, and in return you have the right to tax us to pay for these things. The United States government is in breech of this contract and it is high time to change all w-4s to 'exempt' and all 941s to zero. If you're not going to prosecute 15 million illegal aliens, you sure as hell aren't going to prosecute 250 million citizens refusing to pay your taxes. This is by far the worst, spineless and legally bankrupt Congress that has darkened the halls of the Capitol. Our country is being destroyed, the citizens don't want it to happen, and our so-called representatives are selling us down the river for potential votes. Both the Legislative and Executive branches have gotten us into the situation now, which we have an army of over 15 million people residing in our country illegally and NOTHING is being done about. Furthermore, if a Beslan or a biological or dirty nuke goes off in our country the whole lot of Congress should be hung from lampposts for not securing the borders. /rant off

I think the analogy he's trying to draw is between the hornet's doomed efforts at escape and the belief in the US that immigration is a good thing. We keep reacting to stimuli in a time honored fashion, just as the hornet seeks the light through a window that ultimately dooms it, and in our case accept the argument that this recent wave of immigration is just like all the rest in our history when in fact it will kill our civilization.

It would probably shock many here to know that I agree with you 100%. I think where you and I might part, is on how we deal with the current situation. I think you would agree that we wont be deporting the 11-13 million people that are already here. So what then? It appears to me that the best thing we can do, is to get these people registered and taxed under the THREAT of deportation after a period of legal employment. The alternative is just more of the same in one case, but in the worse case, we lose the Republican majority and allow Democrats to open the flood gates, handing a ballot to each person as they cross the border, pre-filled with Democrat selections.
This is where we must be careful, and not be governed by our passions. We have to think about the short-and-long term ramifications of our actions. Losing the majority is the absolute worst thing that can happen, because not only do you lose this issue, you lose EVERY issue. Especially when we are just ONE NAME AWAY on the Supreme Court from turning the clock back on 45 years of Liberal policies.
Of course, we must enforce the borders, but not by turning people who have been here 5-10-20 years into felons. I cant think of an easier way to send Republicans back into the dark ages.
Great article, as usual.

"American civilization is dying before our eyes"
That is so chicken sh*t; What is dying is liberalism- that is why it is so loud.
The problem is in the open and is on everyones' tongue. There are 300 million Americans. Mexico is what has to change. The Mexican government has to begin taking responsibility for its citizens and should be forced.
American Businesses have to be held respobsible. If their are no jobs for illegals their own families will force them home.
We have a lot of power to take control. Let the losers scream. At least we know where and who they are.

It time to stop attacking our folks and start offering constructive solutions. These are our representatives, not our slaves. We owe them more than anger and wrath. We should be thinking about the big picture, and not becoming single-issue voters.

Pukin,
I agree that we cannot simply round up 13 million illegals and dump them across the border. What we CAN do is find them all, identify them with fingerprints and DNA, and round up and dump all the ones who commit minor crimes (like non-violent theft). Ones who commit major crimes would serve their time, and then be dumped.
Anyone who comes back across the border after being dumped would serve hard time, and then be dumped again. And, all who got dumped would be permanently inneligible for legal immigration, permanently.
We need to reinstate a version of the bracero program which existed from 1942 through 1964. In that, Mexico controlled ITS side of the border, and only an agreed number of Mexicans were admitted to work, and Mexico was part of the guarantee that they would ultimately return to Mexico.
I am appalled that the press, in their gross historical ignorance, have never mentioned the bracero program in reporting on this subject.
