House Majority Leader John A. Boehner refused yesterday to rule out compromising with the Senate to expand the House border security bill to include a guest-worker program or provisions that opponents call "amnesty." "Let's wait and see what the Senate can produce," he told reporters yesterday when asked whether House Republicans would reject the Senate Judiciary Committee's proposal to allow the estimated 12 million illegal aliens now in the U.S. to seek citizenship after paying a fine.

That's a mighty impressive rebuttal, especially after taking that beating in that battle of "wits," but to the neutral observer, it was all one-sided.
Take a bandage-break and ice it. You're obviously still staggering around in a daze after getting your head slapped around by Mr. Broham.

Then print out a bunch and send them in when these RINOS ask for more money.... (I imagine they are getting used to getting the sacredcowburgers BushPesos by now,so these ought to get their attention once again.)
They may look a little funny on your monitor, but they print quite nicely, especially on color inkjet or color laser printers.
Don't try to spend them!
That's odd. 20-30 million of these "workers" in the country and not enough of them to pull it off? Just how many pickers do we need to import?
It did address the problem. I've explained it to you twice now. For some reason you don't get it.
I disagree that the Reagan Amnesty addressed the problem of illegal immigration. It may have been sold that way, but in reality, it didn't do anything to stop more illegal aliens from entrying the country.
Amnesty is not the answer.
On this we agree!
Border enforcement and employer sanctions are the answer and with roughly 80% of Americans and 84.1% of FReepers supporting those actions, you're in the minority on this issue.
How does my agreeing with border enforcement and employer sanctions being the solution to illegal immigration make me in the minority when "80% of Americans and 84.1% of FReepers supporting those actions"?
>>>>>>>>Even at the going rate of about $10 hr. they can't even get enough migrant workers to do it.
Ever wonder how crops get harvested in countries without mass immigration, like Australia or Japan? Farmers there have automated. As will American farmers, once they can no longer rely on illegals.
I heard some schmuck filling in for Rush today advocating businesses hiring illegals. Trying to claim every restaurant in America will go out of business. Has he eaten out lately? My lord, a friggin salad sets you back $9. Dinner at Chili's or Applebees for a family of four sets you back $50.
What are you supposed to do in our capitalist economy when you find that you can't buy as much of something as you want at the rate you're offering? Lie? Steal? Break the law? How about adjusting the amount you're offering?
ROTFLMAO!!!! Gosh, the neutral bunker brigade Sergeant at Arms has spoken!
Well gee for someone who has never owned a farm or janitorial service, you do seem cocksure of telling others how to run their's, kinda of like hillary.
Yep, creating wealth and sending it right across the border. Sorry, but these people who hire illegals are a scourge. Unfortunately, without punishment of those people, who is going to be the first guy to stop hiring illegals and take that hit on his bottom line?
Yes, I have. I've also noticed a significant number of the class of '98. Old-timers... yet I haven't seen them much at all. Curious, ain't it?
HAHA not while I'm eating, I almost choked. Well look on the bright side Jorge is actually doing something right.
He's uniting the country.
The problem is large enough to warrant multiple, simultaneous steps.
Build the fence. Hire even more border agents. Put the UAVs up monitoring our borders, too.
Likewise, encourage our Southern neighbors to step up the enforcement of their own Southern borders (Mexico hates illegals coming up North from below them).
In the meantime, that still leaves 12+ million illegals here. Rounding up 12+ million criminals who are living off the grid here will be difficult.
A plea bargain is worth considering if it reduces this level of difficulty. Such a plea bargain should be acceptable to both sides.
That too.
I think I saw a few of them hanging out on the freeway the other day. Maybe he can check there.
What are you talking about Japan has to import rice for God sakes.
I have no trouble believing that employers should obey the law. Seems like a pretty elementary proposition to me. Or are farmers and owners of janitorial services above the law?
By the way, you ignored my point. In places largely unaffected by mass immigration, janitorial work still gets done--by Americans.
