And that would be because the Swedes are indeed wimps who have opted for socialism, and installed a political class which will care for them, cradle to grave, and "protect" them.

Sweden is the perfect petri dish for observing the inevitable result of the Euro-style, secular-socialist welfare state - - the same Euro-style, secular-socialist welfare state that the Democrats are relentlessly pursuing for America.

Malin Åkerström,a professor in sociology, sees only one solution to the problem: “Jobs for everybody. If this entails a deregulation of the labor market to create more jobs, then we should do so.”

According to a program I saw about 20 years ago, Swedish employees are hired for life. The program focused on the problems of youth who can't find jobs because they are all taken, regardless of whether or not the hired employee ever shows up at the office. Perhaps the situation has changed since then. However, no country can guarantee "jobs for everybody" ... or it risks having to then provide the jobs "everybody" wants.

One should take this as an extreme viewpoint. I have visited Sweden twice in the last three years and never saw evidence of crime or unrest. My wife and I wandered around the streets of Stockholm with no problems at all.

We did not go to Malmo, but a Swedish friend of mine has a brother in Malmo and he denies that this is a widespread problem.

I spend a lot of time in France. There are certain neighborhoods where you just don't go. Outside of those neighborhoods in Paris, you don't see anything special.

I was in an RER station that we were warned to avoid. We were not told that this was a Muslim problem, but I suspect that that is the case. We noticed that the police were patrolling, armed, six officers together, with two dogs. I felt uncomfortable.

I was in France during the end of the car burnings last year and didn't notice a thing. I was apprehensive, but assured when I saw lots of people pushing baby strollers on the streets of Paris.

I suspect that the situation is similar in Sweden. The local government succeeds in limiting the problem to specific areas where these thugs hold court.

How long the situation can be "contained" is the question to be asked.

Aftonbladet reported several years ago that 9 out of 10 of the most criminal ethnic groups gangs in Sweden came from are Muslim countries.

The USA is not much better.

The author stated, "We should remind our authorities that the most important task of the state – some would even claim it should be the only task of the state – is to uphold the rule of law in exchange for taxation."

The "rule of law" here would also include border security and protection of national sovereignty. Bush and the government as a whole are not upholding the rule of law re the illegal alien invasion.

Our budget is another example: 67% of our budget goes toward social welfare and 18% toward Defense. Reversing that and using the military to protect our borders and national sovereignty would be the proper agenda.

We may not be like Sweden yet, but it is coming, as this admin and past admins have abandoned the rule of law, have sacked national sovereignty and have changed this nation into a statist, socialist form of government.
