Excellent post but I'm afraid it may be too late for the Euros. There's a very good feature article in the Dec.'04 issue of "Commentary" by David Pryce-Jones titled "The Islamization of Europe?" Among many other factors it discusses demographics. There are more than 20 million Islamists in Europe who have a very high reproductive rate. This is contrasted with the zero population growth for the indigenous ethnic groups. The Euros were willing to accept this vast influx to keep their infrastructures maintained -- to clean their streets, wait on their tables, and perform other menial but necessary tasks until their Pension System collapses. They assumed that their benign socialist multiculturalist societies would remain tranquil. Unfortunately, they neglected a point made by a man many of them admire, Dr. Karl Marx. He said that after a critical point quantity irrevocably changes quality. For the Euros the "quantity" was a vast number of uncivilized and semi-barbaric Islamists from North Africa. The "quality" changed irrevocably is their own culture and social life. Pryce-Jones quotes a prophetic remark made by Hilaire Belloc in 1938: "Will not perhaps the temporal power of Islam return and with it the menace of an armed Islamic world which will shake the dominion of the Europeans and ...reappear again as the prime enemy of our civilization?" Many talk about the "clash of civilizations" but havn't read Huntington's book. It really discusses and analyzes what's happening to us NOW. And it's not pretty!
I understand the problems with illegal immigration. La Raza is not Al Qaeda, Hamas or Hizbullah...they arent even the black panters in 1969-70.
Look 9% of Mexico is white european..they dominate the country in business, politics and entertaniment(notice how much Fox looks like Aznar)...The idea that illegal mexicans can take over our country when they cant even take over their own is ridiculous.

It is interesting to note that these Muslim immigrants state quite openly that they are involved in a “war,” and see participation in crime and harassment of the native population as such. This is completely in line with what I have posited before. The number of rape charges in Sweden has quadrupled in just above twenty years. Rape cases involving children under the age of 15 are six times as common today as they were a generation ago. Most other kinds of violent crime have rapidly increased, too. Instability is spreading to most urban and suburban areas. Resident aliens from Algeria, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia dominate the group of rape suspects. The number of rapes committed by Muslim immigrants in Western nations is so extremely high that it is difficult to view these rapes as merely random acts of individuals. It resembles warfare. This is happening in most Western European countries, as well as in other non muslim countries such as India. European jails are filling up with Muslims imprisoned for robberies and all kinds of violent crimes, and Muslims bomb European civilians. One can see the mainstream media are struggling to make sense of all of this. That is because they cannot, or do not want to, see the obvious: this is exactly how an invading army would behave: rape, pillage and bombing. If many of the Muslim immigrants see themselves as conquerors in a war, it all makes perfect sense.

According to a program I saw about 20 years ago, Swedish employees are hired for life. The program focused on the problems of youth who can't find jobs because they are all taken, regardless of whether or not the hired employee ever shows up at the office. Perhaps the situation has changed since then. However, no country can guarantee "jobs for everybody" ... or it risks having to then provide the jobs "everybody" wants.
I have just read a blog post by a Kiwi living in Sweden. The New Zealander's post reveals that it is still as bad as the programme you watched over 20 years ago:

Basically many people earn their livings as contractors, if they get lucky they can strike a fulltime job. Being a contarctor often means severe credit disadvantage and curiously tnough, they don't qualify for much welfare payments under Swedish laws, believe it or not.
The point is, the "jobs for everybody" mantra is NOT a solution to the problem. The good professor can't see that the problem is that these "yoots" want to take over Sweden, not assimilate into Swedish society.

I understand why you would say that, but the lesson I take from history is that Muslim conquerors always move to soon. They'll get puffed up on their small successes and then push to hard. This will wake civilized people up and then the real battles will start. However, I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not.

That's what doesn't make sense. Why are the protesters so proud of Mexico? Imagine Soweto blacks who fled to another country, proudly shouting "Suid Afrika" back in 1976? It makes no sense.
