When reporters called the Irving ISD asking if they would pick the kids up with buses at the train station, the school district replied "No way, Jose!" (OK, not a direct quote) and that since they got there on their own they could get back on their own.
Even some of the idiot local media is starting to catch on. I've heard a couple of radio newsbreak interviews with these students where the brats indicate no clue of what is being debated in Congress. Favorite quote: "I'm here for the, um, ah, the Mexico thing."
And here's another genius from the article:
Jason Cisneros, 14, said he knew he was supposed to leave Lee after first period.
"Maybe George Bush will know that he's hurting us and let us have equal rights, he said. "Christopher Columbus discovered America and he was from Spain, so it was our home first."
LOL!
Oops, should be "are starting to catch on."
I better be careful, lest I start sounding like these protesting Einsteins.
LOL. Christopher Columbus was from Italy.
Mexican radio stations and their DJ's are responsible for advocating these protest from coast to coast.
I just heard that some kids did the same thing in Fort Worth, even walking a "parade" type fashion on the downtown streets...
I told someone on another thread about the accident in Dallas, and I told them...that the parents of the girl with the severed hand (I also heard some kid hurt his head when jumping in fountain)...will be suing DISD and the City of Dallas...you watch.
Maybe they can join Camp Casey on 75 and Meadow.
And some folks here at FR claim that DART rail isn't being utilized.
Somebody needs to start asking for protest permits and making arrests if no permits are found. Funny how the media doesn't want to talk about this crap once they figured out it only pisses us off.
Maybe they can borrow France's water cannon to use on them....
Damn. Just ... damn.
So is this some of the protesters' symbolism, keeping their backs wet?
It was pathetic, really. Here they were, protesting a federal policy at City Hall, with their backs to a FEDERAL BUILDING! We were watching them from across the street, laughing at these moronic little beings, aiming their protests in the wrong direction.
I'd also like to know who approved the use of DISD school buses to transport these kids to a protest rally for which they were supposed to receive unexcused absences. Who paid for the use of the buses?
Not to mention that plenty of them were hanging out in "strategic protest venues" like Subway, Urban Market, the convenience stores, and under the trees in Pioneer Cemetery.
Tell you what, Jason: take a trip down to San Jacinto, see for yourself the story of what happened to the last Mexican leader that tried that.
Your welcome to try it again, of course, but keep in mind that we're damn well armed.
Witnesses said an 18-year-old Spruce High School student's hand was severed when a van of students in which she was riding rolled over at an intersection...
The arrival of the buses makes this a school-sponsored event.
The "child" who lost a hand needs to sue DISD.
