At least one girl was seriously injured Tuesday as hundreds of students from Dallas and other area school districts again converged on Dallas City Hall. By midday, buses were arriving to pick up the protesters and return them to school.
Witnesses said an 18-year-old Spruce High School student's hand was severed when a van of students in which she was riding rolled over at an intersection...

Yes, but the noun is "some", so the verb should be the plural "are". (Though I always get confused as to whether the period goes within or after the closing quote marks and parenthesis. I guess I'll have some homework tonight!)

I know that I don't think I could keep myself from grabbing their Mexican flags...and telling them that unless/until they start waving American flags...they SHOULD go back to Mexico...because that is obviously the country they love enough to wave the flag...
I think media is actually plural of "medium", although you could refer collectively to the media, I guess.
Q. Why to they call it a medium, anyway?

They are saying April 10th here... No Mexicans are supposed to go to school, work or spend any money... I sure hope all the Legal's here dont partake in the silliness! I know every legal Mexican I have talked to feels the same way I do. I have NO problem with mexicans coming to the US legally... Hell a large majority of my neighbors are Mexican, I am sure some are illegal but most that I know were born here or are here legally.

I just heard that a MIDDLE SCHOOL in Grand Prairie had students leave and march to GP City Hall...but then just kept on going..
Also, supposedly another school has JUST started marching in Fort Worth...they have arrested 3 kids in Fort Worth..
When asked about the student's protests in Dallas, the Dallas Mayor, Laura Miller just said "they have the right"..or something equally as unconcerned.

The word "media" is a plural.
It was pathetic, really. Here they were, protesting a federal policy at City Hall, with their backs to a FEDERAL BUILDING! We were watching them from across the street, laughing at these moronic little beings, aiming their protests in the wrong direction.
I'd also like to know who approved the use of DISD school buses to transport these kids to a protest rally for which they were supposed to receive unexcused absences. Who paid for the use of the buses?
Not to mention that plenty of them were hanging out in "strategic protest venues" like Subway, Urban Market, the convenience stores, and under the trees in Pioneer Cemetery.
