Neither did I.

I hope this is the beginning of good things.

Thank you for calling me rational. Usually, I'm called a "BushBot", a term I wear proudly. I've had the honor of meeting President Bush, talking with him, and shaking his hand. I just wish every American could look him in the eye, in person, as I did, so they would know what a wonderful, decent, honest human being he is. The eyes are the window to the soul, and I could tell that he is a good, good man. I unapologetically adore him.

GO 'W' GO!!

As Chief-of-Staff, I would presume he has a hand in decsisons that affect Bush policy and operations that are causing conservatives to pull their hair out: borders, immigation, spending, Harriet Miers, etc. But particularly the slow PR response to many issues. Why did it take W years years before he started a focused defense of the war? He is doing a great job on the stump now, but it's almost to little, too late. And the Dubai ports issue, a PR mess.
He's just recently strated to call the media to task, should've done that years ago also. There's no question of Cards integerity, loyalty, or hard work; it's the content of it.

Well, part of the problem was that Bush sent two of his best people, Condi and Karen Hughes, across town to Foggy Bottom. Since January of 2005, this White House has been at sea. For the first six months of 2005, while the jihadi were conducting a bombing campaign and our soldiers were being killed daily, Bush was out talking up Social Security Reform.

S.S. Reform is needed, but that's a postwar project. People were watching the kids fight on the nightly news and getting the DNC talking points. Bush wasn't fighting back. "Rope-a-dope" was part of this silly strategy.

As I've said a thousand times, Bill Clinton never let an attack on him go unanswered! Think what you will of Bubba, he knew how to fight. Bush is only now learning. The fact that Condi was out there citing the Saddam papers on the Timmy show tells me that the Administration is going to full battle mode.

Finally. But part of me thinks that Bush has allowed himself to be damaged irretrevably with too many people.

Be Seeing You,

Chris

I have no grudge against HM. It's just the whole fiasco made me realise that I didn't really know George W. Bush at all. And nothing since then has changed that opinion.

Well I took a brake and feel much better but more conflicted! Yes... Immigration has always been a big issue with me, perhaps because I Immigrated here at one time. Oh could write pages on this cr*** but I don't have the time (suppose to be working).

In short, I heard the president last night, and I do like what he says... the problem I am feeling... and I did not realize this until now, I have actually LOST TRUST not in his heart, but in his judgment (and so the Miers nomination come into play here once again, BTW, Miers could an ANGEL, but she is not the issue here!!!!) And yes, this issue should have been put to rest by now!... but it comes back again and again, in light of subsequent missteps... then, it becomes important again. I think it's a good thing the WH is making changes... whoever sent Laura to that fagg* show to cut us down for opposing Miers, should not be working there...

Just like I said, I am having conflicting issues... I understand EVERY POINT of view! and that is killing me. :) - Let's not forget, although I am no Mexican myself, I am of Hispanic ancenstry... and I knew many Mexicans when I live in CA about 10 years ago and some illegally here too, and all them very good people - not criminals, or religious fanatics, just want to work...but for many of them it's just impossible to get papers... so... I understand every side of the issue... :)

It would be nice if just could put my trust in the president and "be sure he is doing the best for the country...." but I CAN'T... He is after all a politician as far as I an concerned... well, I could on and on and on....
