He doesn't make decisions based on whose feelings will be 'hurt' by them. He does what he believes is right. You are entitled to your opinion and no I don't need your help :) I judge by what see, never by anyone's BS.

Thanks!
I knew after four other memebrs avoided the question, one would say something in agreement. He WAS as conservative as you get, and this admin is as liberal (fiscally) as you get. I think this question is great. It should be a great debate. Good, fair questions deserve a good fair debate.
We have tens of thousands of members here and I am sure some will want to answer that question. We will get the usual denialists here that will mock it, but I wish I knew the answer in Dick Cheney's mind. I would love to see some good members input their opinion.
About 90% here will avoid the question and deny the facts. About 10% will offer good input. Let's hear it from the 10%. It is those 10% that offer good input and withhold the flaming and mocking and sarcasm that makes this forum great.

I judge by what see, never by anyone's BS.SO..........didn't you 'see' Sam Alito at the President's side, testifying before the Senate panel, and in robes at the SOTU?
You missed all that, did you? And are still holding a grudge against the President?
Interesting.

Oh..........that's right. You attack the President and Vice President from your risk-free, no action required KEYBOARD.
Still makes you pretty gutless by comparison.

> Other than O'Neill can you refresh my memory as to the other former administration officials who have badmouthed this President?
Most recently, Michael "Brownie" Brown. Remember his whining to the committee on Katrina?
The famous turncoat Richard Clarke.
Colin Powell has said he presented the case for the Iraq war under duress and that it was "painful".
I'm pretty sure there are others who sold their soul for a book deal but I need to go to work now...

Good...now I wish we could get Karen Hughes in there but it looks like it's going to be Joshua Bolton. I don't know anything about him except that he comes from budget.

Neither Brown nor Clarke was in this President's cabinet.
I'll give you Powell. He was a poor choice from the start but a favorite of Papa Bush's.

Thanks for the good reply.
That sure beats sarcasm and useless posts, so I thank you very much for good input.
Dick Cheney said his role is an "Advisor" and does not run things. There are a couple things we can asssume: 1] Dick Cheney has been advising George Bush to back off the push in social spending, etc. or 2] Cheney has changed and is now a leftist, not a conservative.
My bet (just a guess) is that Cheney has not changed, and is as conservative as ever, but Bush has not taken the advice of Dick Cheney but has taken the adivce of others who pushed for a more leftist agenda.
The FACTS remain: Cheney was a great conservative, but the Bush/Cheney Admin did go hard left.
Neither of us, snugs, don't like hearing that the admin went left, but we can't honestly dispute facts, and the facts from the OMB prove that.
Perhaps some day, some book will emmerge that will take us inside the White House and let us know if Cheney changed or if Cheney's conservative advice was overridden, or if Bush just flat out ignored it.
Thanks a lot for contributing, even if we do not agree. This question, really, is not an agree or disagree situation as much as it is just opinion on Cheney and his role and ideology stability. Thanks again.
