Fate conspires to remind us what this war is really about: civilizational confidence. And so history repeats itself: first the farce of the Danish cartoons, and now the tragedy - a man on trial for his life in post-Taliban Afghanistan because he has committed the crime of converting to Christianity.
The cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad were deeply offensive to Muslims, and so thousands protested around the world in the usual restrained manner - rioting, torching, killing, etc.

Perhaps some of us wring our hands in despair. Perhaps others say, "We ain't gonna put up with this crap and take action to make sure that no more of these bastards enter this country.
Islam and Civilization in general are not compatible.
A religion founded by a bloodthirsty pervert is a "religion of peace"? My sides split whenever I hear THAT one!
I seem to recall somewhere in Revelation where a 3rd of the people of the earth (might be a fourth, cant recall) die as a result of...something. Might be a country that has the stones to do it?
What action can you take?
Revelations is in the Old Testament. The Old Testament says a lot of things that most people nowadays do not take literally.
Better eat your Wheaties, Trigger.

Individually, few of us can take any action but, collectively we can resolve not to be overrun by the scum of the earth.
That's a real action plan. Sort of like Endeavor to Persevere.
The British fought three Afghan Wars. They took Kabul several times. They still never conquered Afghanistan. They never even subjugated the Pathans in the North-West Frontier Province.
Are you willing to risk Los Angeles for whatever vicarious thrill you get from watching Kabul die from the safety of your living room?
Your solution?
Shortly after 9-11 I realized that the West lacked the will to win this war. I still believe that. If we can't even talk openly about the problem and face it, we are going to lose. You can't care about the feelings of you enemy.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: When men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks, and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."
India today is better off without suttee. If we shrink from the logic of that, then in Afghanistan and many places far closer to home the implications are, as the Prince of Wales would say, "ghastly."
Great words.
We should emulate that speaker.
Mark Steyn is a great man. Too bad he isn't in the White House now.
Most of them, as a matter of fact, are born into it.
Some will have to die before that happens. To get the ones that need killing the most will require assistance from friendly Muslims, who most on this thread don't believe exist and would cheerfully incinerate.
We can't kill 'em all. It's not technically feasible. All we can do is kill off the city dwellers and take out their religious centers. Many seem to think that is a simple thing to do. Many seem to think nuking Mecca wil solve everything. It won't.
Burning down the barn may rid it of rats, but it doesn't do much for the other live stock.
Well good luck with that. But what are you going to do with those that are already here or those who convert (lke the black Muslims in Prison)? All the Wahibis have to do is shift their support to assets already in place. Destroying radicalism in Islam is going to be difficult, but it is probably our only real option.
Then by the same Convention, Islam itself, as dictated by the koran, is an organization actively advocating, and participating in genocide. The should be treated no differently than the adherents of the late and largely unlamented Schikelgruber, and whatever it would take to render them either harmless, or if necessary completely extinct, would be appropriate...

I'd rather they be killed. I don't think it is a good idea to try to kill 1.2 billion people just to get the bad guys.
