Skinner had a very complex and unfinished research program. He made the mistake early in his career of assuming his ideas were ready for political consumption. He backed away from this later in life, but still believed his methods of discipline were better than coercion. I agree.

I agree with his theories -- they tend to hold water. And work. I seem to recall reading in past something about Skinner wishing the "media tide" for "political activism" cut into (read: overwhelmed) his continuing studies on the subject. Do you have data or link you could refer me to, pls?

I haven't followed Skinner's work since college -- thirty years ago. I became a fan when he went up against Noam Chomsky.

I agree with the judge.....what he said is correct. The pedophile should have to stand trial. DA and parents wimped out. Even if the judge had accepted the plea from the other county, nothing would have changed. But at least one person in this sick, child molestation case did the right thing....the judge.
