I have tried to listen intently to news since yesterday's appearance in Cleveland - a 90 minute tour de force - in order to hear how the media covered it, and have only heard a couple of words here and there. It really is jawdroppingly amazing how the "news" media have shut down his voice from being heard by any Americans who do listen or watch "news" programs, or top-of-the-hour radio news.

Can a Bush or GOP loyalist tell me what Bush said about "passing a budget that cut back spending"???
Mr. Bush. the FY 2007 budget calls for total spending of $62 billion more than last year's fat, hoggish, wasteful budget.
What's worse, the spending in the Superfunction "Human Resources", where nearly all the social welfare is, comes to $80 BILLION more than last year's socialistic spending. The total for this social welfare is $1.787 TRILLION!!! That is 64.5% of all spending, 1.5% more than last year.
This is why Bush has lost me. Not only does he manage in a socialist way, but he attempts to pull wool over the public's eyes.
I might add he said either discretionary or nondiscretionary.........it does not really matter. The fact is socialism has soared under George Bush and this should make all conservatives outraged. That outrage should be magnified when he tries to blow it off with false statements at a press conference re spending. Using Congress' terminology of "rate of growth" does not cut it. Facts are facts--Bush is LBJ reincarnated,
He is now talking about mandatory spending. Bull. "mandatory spending" could be made nonmandatory if we had a real leader who wanted to get the budget in the right direction for the next generation of taxpayers.
It is ludicrous for Bush to talk about spending and his desire to cut it. He has built is track record. He cried wolf too many times.

No, Gregory is not there today. He was filling in on the Today show wearing a pink tie and re-applying his lib balm all morning.

And he was fabulous .. just fabulous .. yesterday. Here is a man with a plan and with the intellect, faith, family, conviction, focus AND humor to endure the constant critical pressure and the assaults that would turn any other politician into a trembling mass. God has blessed US. I just can't imagine anyone who could handle himself better with the citizenry and the press .. he's writing the book for future presidents. He's SO likable and so honest, the press just can't achieve their scheme to turn the public hard against him ... but that doesn't mean they won't keep trying to ask the most vicious questions to make him look bad. Meanwhile, they just keep showing us what azzclowns they are. God bless George W. Bush and our brave troops.WORTH REPEATING IN BOLD! GO W!!!!!

BWHAHAHAHA!! Gregory is missing his *great question of the day* while stuck in NYC, doing backyard makeovers! Love it!
To: radar101
Did he really say that?
I am getting this all on FR. No t.v. and radio is Glenn Beck.
He needs to say it more often. Say it all the time. And "polls show" that in terms of respect from the American people the press is way down at the bottom.
