DCI is push polling again.

For the second time in as many weeks I have been pushed polled by DCI. Gary being the name of the automaton.

1) Do you think 6 US ports should be purchased by an Arab firm? 2)Is the execution of Morales by lethal injection cruel and unusual? 3)??????? 4)Are you concerned about rising health care costs? 5) Have I changed driving habits as a result of rising gasoline costs?

Question number one reflects a falsehood. I was polled on if I had assimilated a lie.

Since I know the Dubai firm was purchasing operating facilities that represented only a tiny part of a port rather than the whole port, I answered yes.

Question number 2 also relies on complete ignorance to answer.

Being a nurse, I know the drugs used to induce unconsciousness prior to execution are the same drugs used to induce anesthesia prior to surgery. There are millions of individual surgeries done in the US each year. The number of times a patient reports being awake are rare enough to constitute news.

In 20 years of hospital nursing and having provided post- op care to thousands of patients, I have never seen it occur .

Question is bogus.

Question #3 was skipped for some unknown reason. I can only assume that my answers to number 1 and 2 were not leading in the direction the poll was intended to go.

Question 4. I'm not afraid of rising health care costs because I have a health care savings account and have had for 3 years. I love it. I wish it had been available 20 years ago.

Question 5. I drive where I need to go. Always have, always will until death or the end of the internal combustion engine.

No questions about registered voter, probable voter or party affiliation.

My question and the purpose of this vanity.

Is this part of the equation in how the polls are cooked?

We know part is leading questions?

Question 1 and 2 establish you level of being informed, or your level of having swallowed the MSM hook line and sinker.

#3 is the Money question.

Questions 4 and 5 give indications of your level of fear and your expectation of a big government solution.

They can legitimately claim that 10,000 Americans were polled and 62% of them think bla-bla about question 3 when all or a majority of those likely to oppose the pollsters position on question 3 are eliminated by simply skipping the question.

Is this how MSM is coming up with the majority of Americans are opposed to the War in Iraq and then peace demonstrations can't attract enough attendees to fill a medium sized theater for a free movie?

Any other experiences like this among FReepers.

Suing would take tons of money and probably years to settle. I would do it if I had the money!

Someone should, just to get in the media. Just like the left did to Tom Delay.

The easiest thing to sue them over would be obviously cooked polls.

Obvious as hell they are cooked.

It's time someone held them accountable.

Reginald Denny should have done it. Press does everything it can to fan the flames every time there is a riot.

If it bleeds it leads and they want to prolong the bleeding.

"Obvious as hell they are cooked."

I've felt that way for years. It is usually the uninformed, lonely and stay-at-home types that answer them also. I would be tough as hell with them, until they hung up!

Maybe someone reading this thread will set in motion, a suit that will actually pin down what they are doing.

I'm sure you have noticed the sly questions asked in online polls. They usually frame the result they are looking for, by the questions.

You nailed it. This is why the President's poll numbers are so freaking low.

Polling and statistics can be accurate but when the pollster is dishonest the results will be dishonest.

I got called at work which was amazing.

They slant the questions, they over represent the side they are pushing and then they spin the results.

I didn't know they simply skipped questions to avoid including the data in the results.

Press presents polls as news and they are printing complete fabrications.

I've been a big fan since mid 70s. Try to catch a few shows each year. My nephew will march his second season with Capital Regiment (Columbus) this summer.

I started watching the competitions (when I could catch them on TV) in the mid 80s. This past Christmas I got to visit with an aunt and uncle who I haven't seen in quite a few years and found out that their youngest son just finished his last year (aged out) with the Crossmen. They traveled with the corp his last season, cooking and mending/altering uniforms. They had a blast, but what a grueling schedule!

I had 2 thoughts re: sueing them.

1) Consumer fraud...Class action. They are in a profit environment selling a product to the public. The product they sell is bogus...They are fleecing the public.

2)Stock holder suit:.Printing fraudulent news has cost them circulation and driven down stock prices...
