You're going to get it too. ROFLOL
I should have waited a minute.
" I find that more proof that our "News" has become just like the old Soviet Union's press. They are merely propaganda outlets for the Demo Party."
Exactly!
We need to find a way to start directing and steering the news, instead of letting the Antique Media set public opinion and try to steer us (e.g., we need to get off defense all the time and get on offense). I'm not exactly sure how, except perhaps to call them on it more (perhaps more letters to the editor, calls and email to the news shows) and getting after our Congresscritters, the WH and the RNC to get on board w the right messages and talking points (half the time the Pubbies let the Dims state lies as facts and don't call them on it - - Pubbies need to get off their arses and start doing some homework and getting the facts).
IMHO the Press (along w their accomplices, Congresscritters who jumped without learning the facts) are the ones that made the Dubai deal go down, by setting public opinion on it.
We all know that they've done and are doing the same thing w, to name a few, the public's opinion on the econonomy and the Iraq War (and have done so since day one - 'quagmire', not enough troops, etc.). They've gone along w the Dims in Congress trying to make it another VN (which is the only war most of them know, and have been trying to fight and counter it the same way).
They're doing the same thing w the President's poll #'s - - every 10 minutes we get another BOGUS poll and comments like 'this is the President's lowest #s yet' or 'Bush's approval rating continues to drop'.
The New Media has helped dispel some of lies that the MSM and Dims continue to spew and spread, but we just need to figure out a way to get the truth out more and stop them in their tracks sooner. They continue to throw anything and everything against the wall on the war and the President to see what might stick. When it's proven to be a lie, if there's any correction, it's hidden in the paper, they just move on to the next distortion.
Many of us have said that the Pres needs to replace his communication team, particularly McClellan; and, that he needs to use his bullypulpit more. Both are true and I think they'll help considerably (though the MSM doesn't cover half the speeches Bush makes now).
There are so many smart and informed FReepers, I'm hoping some of you have some ideas on how we can get a step ahead of the Dims and the Antique Media instead of often being a couple of steps behind them - - we need to get off the defense and on the offense. The Pubbies need to get their act together if they want to win this next election. It would help if they quit thinking about getting re-elected once in awhile and put their egos aside and think about the party, conservative values and the country. I still think there's plenty of reason for optimism; however, while I'm normally a very optimistic person, I really fear if this continues to go the way it has in what it will do to our country, the WOT, and the outcome of the elections (which, of course, could have grave effects on everything).

Someone may have put Gregory's balls to a wall recently.
Like Britt Hume is doing to Juan Williams right now in my city!!!!
Niiiice.... Chaney calls the daily polls "background noise" and says he ignores them.
Well when little TimmY Buffalobutt goes before a Libby Defense Attorney under oath you will know that more than his eye muscle will be constricted. It may take until 2008 before he can go potty again. LOL! Oh the Pain!
Good link, I must admit I had forgotten/not seen that article mind you October - January was a very frantic period what with mum breaking her hip and then passing away on Christmas Day.
A lot of that period passed me by
Would you rather he throw softballs?
VP Cheney just said "this is tough business."
Juan got pwned bigtime ;>
See Post 13 for Turban Durban's IDIOTIC Drool from Fox News Sunday:

Cheney says he doesn't expect any shake ups in the WH in replacing anyone
"Git 'R Done!"
"My grandma got arrested for gettin' the farts up at the Bass Pro Shop. They accused her of stealing a duck call and some stink bait."
"Lord I apologize."
Larry The Cable Guy
Just DAMN!
What a gag fest! Do they all walk in lock-step, too? This is so much wishful thinking. It's what they WANT to believe is true.
Gregory and Bumiller, huh? Both White House correspondents. IMNSHO, they ought to join Helen Thomas in the "STFU I ain't callin' on you, ever." penalty box.
If Congress did not spend Social Security contributions what would they do with the money? Where would they put it? Is there a Govco savings account somewhere? It is my understanding that they have to spend those funds on something because there is no other place to keep it.
I live in NM, and have been saying much the same, except that there are almost daily exposes of his dictatorial actions here. He just used his line-item veto to punish anyone who had opposed him, and a good portion of the vetoes were regarding funding for schools and school equipment.
The constant reporting of corruption of the dem party here regarding kickbacks to officials is becoming almost a weekly feature of the Albuquerque Journal. Bill just illegally created high-paying jobs for his cronies and is getting pounded by (believe it or not) the local CBS affiliate. I can't believe he doesn't think that all this will be used against him in the primary, let alone in the general election if he makes it that far
But, my point has always been, he is just too ugly to be elected president. I love your description "Rutabaga with a smarmy smile, and greasy hair." Right on the mark.
Democrats have SO little going for them that they wish for changes in White House personnel so they can claim a Bush failure, or that he's had to change people because he's so bad.
Compare every mistake or misstep President Bush has had since 2000 and it pales by comparison to Clinton.
Shhhh MNJ, the Saddam tapes don't exist yet!!
DNC has not yet outed them.
