Last I checked, the police were being pretty tough.

Too little too late. The country is on a rapid downward slide to oblivion.

Indeed it could. Either they learned a lesson from round one, or they were just afraid because of the racial component.

The one thing we know is that the MSM is covering THIS riot, and ignored the Muslim ones like the proverbial plague.

May have to go buy a nice bottle of Califonia Wine to celebrate these lovely Commie Riots?? Has the Stone Age Press labeled this a Civil War yet?

Pray for W and Our Freedom Fighters

Because history indicates that the French can go a wee bit "over the top" when implementing social change.

The situation is ripe for a thuggish dictator type to step in and start busting a few skulls.

This is where this type of behavior is leading, because what a thuggish dictator needs to survive is a silent majority of the population that is frightended by this type of behavior, but scared to speak out.

I have to think that millions of French citizens are sitting in their homes, quietly despairing over where their country is headed.

Enter a charismatic hard ass, somewhere under the political radar.

That's a very good insight. All the right rhetoric and charm and then, wham-o, gradual police state and loss of freedoms. And then the new dissenter might just see the return of an old friend - the

If civil war ever broke out in France, who would they surrender to?

I wouldn't doubt it. I believe he was there at times. I'm not sure about when or what the deal was. Course there's always the Arkansas lambchop and his European and eastern block escapades as well.

"Actually, France has NEVER been a friend to the U.S."

They helped finance the Revolutionary War, provided us with strategic advice, provided a model for our constitution, and gave us the Statue of Liberty.

Haven't done much for us lately, but that's no excuse for revisionist history.

You think the average Frenchie will compare this response to that of the riots of the Moslems?

Do you mean that the French police sat back and allowed the Molslems to burn cities, while they won't tolerate riots by college students and Communists? Hmmm. I wonder if the average Joe Baguette sees the irony.

We weren't the US yet, Cowboy. They helped us become the US, but they haven't been our friend since.

Not revising.

Right now employers are reluctant to hire someone they can't fire.

Much like federal and civil service jobs in the USA.
