It's really great growing up in a Ski Lodge!
Pretty Ones pick me up and want to know my name
And the way they cuddle me makes their Mates blush with shame
When I'm not busy trying to weave and dodge
Between crutches and long straight legs in casts

The thick hard casts are great for sharpening my claws
After a few sips of Buttered Rum which gives me pause
For long and dreamy naps about my fortunate past
I was relishing one on my Terry Towel without a whit of fear
When I awoke with a tiny knit cap between my ears!

I am not much for Accessories
Nor fleas, dirt, mud or mites on my fur; if you please
The cap seemed to send a message loud and clear
A moment presented itself, ready to seize
Bringing more hugs, cuddles and rubs than I've received in years!

So, now I am the Lodge's Mascot, "Katski"
If you look really hard, you just might see me
On a crowded Ski Lift, or near the fire place
Snuggling over the laps of gathered Pretty Ones
Just look for the knit cap and you'll find a smile upon my face!
