South Park declares war on Scientology

South Park has declared war on Scientology.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker, creators of the animated satire, are digging in against the celebrity-endorsed religion after a controversial episode mocking outspoken Scientologist Tom Cruise was yanked abruptly from the schedule Wednesday — with Internet rumours it was covert warfare by Cruise that led to its departure.

“So, Scientology, you may have won THIS battle, but the million-year war for earth has just begun!” the South Park creators said in a statement Friday in Daily Variety. “Temporarily anozinizing (sic) our episode will NOT stop us from keeping Thetans forever trapped in your pitiful man-bodies... You have obstructed us for now, but your feeble bid to save humanity will fail!”

Internet bloggers accused Cruise of threatening to not promote “Mission Impossible 3,” a surefire summer blockbuster, if the offending episode ran. Comedy Central is owned by Viacom, as is Paramount, which is putting out “MI:3.”

But Cruise's representative, Arnold Robinson, said that the mega-star made no such demands.

“Not true,” Robinson said. “I can tell you that he never said that.”

Not to intentionally change the subject, but Viacom must be a tremendous corporate conglomerate.
How come the Hollywood liberal hypocrites don't complain about them?
I didn't think they liked for people to have money or engage in capitalism.
South Park cracks me up. (Back on subject)

I don't think he is a great actor, all he does is smile his way through his movies. Anybody else see his movie Vanilla Sky or the one with his now ex-wife Nicole about the orgies and sex parties? OMG were they bad- after seeing that crap I never thought Creepy Cruise was anything but an annoying smirk on film.

A Comedy Central spokesman said Friday that the network pulled the controversial episode to make room for two shows featuring Hayes.

“In light of the events of earlier this week, we wanted to give Chef an appropriate tribute by airing two episodes he is most known for,” the spokesman said.

Horse puckey.

The only Tom Cruise movie I recall seeing was War of the Worlds, which I bought used well after it was out on DVD.

I thought it was OK, but as a fan of the original H G Wells story I was disappointed in how poorly if followed the book.

Maybe I've seen him in other movies, but if I did it didn't make much of an impression...

Tom Cruise is not gay.

His body-Thetans are however quite gay.
