Did Race play a role in the Port Deal discussions? The very charge is met by the likes of Sean Hannity and others with Righteous Indigination. In fact, to mention it makes you the true problem. Mark Levin in fact called a MAjor General a dirtbag over that charge. The below cartoons may be an issue now in the UAE. They are not cartoons about that ole darn prophet however. THere will be no boycotts over these but remember still they dont help things. The cartoonist just give us what we want sometimes. From MSNBC the following cartoon. There were many others that through the glory of the net are available to all.
lest we forget!...bastards....I ain't forgetting!...they can kiss my Dixie ass and all that PC race hustling-hand-wringing over this is a sign of weakness....
they can be found alive and well at the anti-freeper site that shall not be mentioned..lol
I'll look for that in the library, after I pay my fines ...
Just kidding.
;-)
A lot of people in my family are like that.
Voracious readers.
Sometimes you just don't get around to returning everything on time.
Since I don't want to assume anything else, is it safe to say you don't believe Gen Abazaid violated any rules when he said 'I am very dismayed by the emotional responses that some people have put on the table here in the United States that really comes down to Arab and Muslim bashing that was totally unnecessary,'"
Rokke, IMO the "rules" and protocol were given the benefit of doubt in what could be considered gray-area -- especially with so obvious a political and controversial statement. Not to mention the timing.
As an Arab-American and CentCom General, Abizaid was perfect for what I saw as a voluntary "mission" straight from the top.
You bad boy.
I say let's nuke 'em back to the stone age first..... er, hey, most the Chicoms already live in the stone age don't they.
Need a better solution.
What'r those poor beggars buying stuff for?
Uhh, Venice has been "out of business" for about 300 years.
Her stuff is, as it were, "dated". The Turks changed a lot of stuff you know.
Her point, namely, that these accession talks with Turkey will spell the death knell of Europe-at least, as Europe has been known historically, Enlightenment Europe-is completely accurate.
PM Erdogan is a democratically elected fascist, and Kemalism is all but a dead-letter.
Argh.
I hate the fact that you can't edit comments retroactively.
:-)
We'd have to irradiate the place otherwise, and the Arabs would be cheering us on in that case.
Ignoring Ataturk for a moment, the Port made tremendous advances in its ability to handle modern foreign relations about the time of the American Revolution, and after the Greek Revolution was successful, they decided to clean up their internal act and develop the apparatus of a modern state.
You mean that anti-freeper AND Kook site?
Heh, it's like Misfit Island over there.
Insofar as the carrot of EU membership has forced Turkey to moderate its policies on Kurds, Turkish-occupied Cyprus, and free speech issues, I suppose it's a good thing.
However, that doesn't mean they are moving in the right direction.
The only barrier to Islamic supremacy, i.e. the military, is slowly being hollowed out, and its role diminished, which is why I don't think you can seriously consider that nation a reliable ally in the future.
Couple that with the millions of home-grown Islamist Turks living and plotting in Germany and you have the seeds of Europe's undoing.
It was the kids - they took out piles of books, and we didn't get them returned on time, what with the baby and all. We owe a dollar per book! (I'm annoyed with them, and am limiting checkout to two books each, now!)
Next time we go they should have the fine totalled up, and then I'll write a check.
Ouch.
Good policy though.
Teach them responsibility for their actions when they're young, otherwise they'll end up like George Szamuely.
:0))
At least a dollar a book is the most they charge! This set of fines will cost more than my annual out-of-county membership fee. I think it's fair, though, because we do a lot of reserve books, so we should help pay for the staff!
I wish there was a way for people in New York City to use their public library cards in Long Island, but I suppose that's not really feasible.
What I don't like is that there are three or four different branches here in the city.
I have a New York Public Library card, a BPL card-from my borough-and one from Queens, which I use occasionally to take out DVDs and CDs.
There's also one for the Bronx and Staten Island, which I've never gotten.
You can link the Brooklyn Public Library card to the NYPL branch, but it's a hassle.
Eventually I just decided that it was easier for them to issue me an entirely separate card.
Lol : )
Life is just too complicated sometimes. You want to call them UKians, that's cool with me.
He was an interesting reincarnation of you know who. Next time he should drop the Bayou from his/her screen name.
OTOH, maybe we can help him out with his next identity. How about BayouKittyFood?
