To: Do not dub me shapka broham

At least a dollar a book is the most they charge! This set of fines will cost more than my annual out-of-county membership fee. I think it's fair, though, because we do a lot of reserve books, so we should help pay for the staff!

Sounds fair.

I wish there was a way for people in New York City to use their public library cards in Long Island, but I suppose that's not really feasible.

What I don't like is that there are three or four different branches here in the city.

I have a New York Public Library card, a BPL card-from my borough-and one from Queens, which I use occasionally to take out DVDs and CDs.

There's also one for the Bronx and Staten Island, which I've never gotten.

You can link the Brooklyn Public Library card to the NYPL branch, but it's a hassle.

Eventually I just decided that it was easier for them to issue me an entirely separate card.
