A large tornado has moved through Illinois and has just hit the City of Springfield. Spotters reported a large tornado moved through the city. Damage is being reported. Emergency responders are being called in from surrounding areas.
NWS reports that this was a large wedge tornado.
Another cell may be developing over the Tulsa area and moving east, northeast.
The town of Kansas, OK, (abt 80 miles due east of Tulsa, OK) has reported signficant damage.
Thanks for your concern. We are sitting up watching the weather. Just don't know which way it's going to go. Very nasty stuff going on around here.

I thought of Bahbah earlier tonight. You haven't heard from her since Thursday? I remember her area and the south expecting bad weather on Thursday. That storm did not live up to the potention of these storms this weekend.
per Drudge, 60 percent of bldgs on University of Kansas campus damaged today....classes cancelled until further notice.

On-scene spotters are calling in.
Some houses in Benton County, AR, have been completely demolished --- just piles of rubble.
So far, no reports of deaths---but it is early. The storms only passed there about 30 minutes ago.
Field house at Bentonville, AR High School had roof blown off.
