CBS's Chicago station took the lead in reporting the large immigrant protest yesterday in Chicago. And once again it looks like CBS is blatently manipulating the news, to support their viewpoints.
Case in point are the pictures featured prominantly on their web site.
Here is the lead picture:
Notice the prominant American flag. If you choose to "view slideshow" here is the front image:
Five of the first 10 slides have large obvious flags in the, such as this:
The complete library can be viewed HERE (at least until they wise up and pull it like the did the fake Bush documents):
Meanwhile, Drudge has gone elsewhere for pictures and has this rather amazing one:
In this photo Mexican flags out number American Flags about 10 to 1. Also notice the "medium" focus, that lets us see the group in context, not the tight close ups and ariel photographs combination that CBS has used to disguise the intent a of the protesters. The Chicago Tribune meanwhile show reality, like the Yahoo image linked on Drudge. For instance:
Or:
Or again, the "in context" medium shot:
Why is this significant? Because the contention of those opposed to unlimited, uncontrolled immigration is not just that we are impoverished by it, but that our culture is threatened. That the illegal immigrants and their co-national supporters continue to have primary allegiance to another flag is not something the liberal media want to allow us to see.
You won't find me on those threads or on reality TV threads....they are a waste of brain cells. Sheeze

by Over 550 Attend Historic Mexicano/Latino Leadership Immigration Summit
The "Immigrant Sanctuary Movement" is Born
Hector Carreon
La Voz de AztlanRiverside, Alta California - February 13, 2006 - Over 550 Mexicanos, Mexicas and Latinos attended the "Mexicano/Latino Leadership Immigration Summit" on Saturday at the Riverside Convention Center. The spirited attendees vowed unanimously to fight and defeat the xenophobic H.R. 4437 bill that is pending before the US Senate and which would criminalize undocumented immigrants.
A number of actions were voted on and approved by the entire assembly. The purpose of these national and international political actions are to defeat the so-called racist "Sensenbrenner Legislation" which would make it a criminal offense to be in the United States without permission instead of it being merely a civil offense. Among the major accomplishments of the Summit was the establishment of an "Immigrant Sanctuary Movement" which consists of declaring, through city government resolutions, sanctuaries for immigrants throughout the Southwest. The City of Maywood, California has led the way and the City of Huntington Park , California has already followed. Citizens will be at the Pomona City Council tonight to begin the process there and Los Angeles will soon follow as well.
The historic event was organized and hosted by by the National Alliance for Human Rights (NAHR) and the University of California at Riverside's MEChA and Chicano Student Programs. Participants included leaders and organizations from throughout California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Illinois and from Mexico. Present were delegations from many organizations that included, among others, MEChA de UCR, the "Brown Berets de Watsonville", the Mexica-Movement, the Committee on Chicano Rights, CARECEN, Pueblo Sin Fronteras de Chicago, Comite Latino of Coachella, La Alianza Hispana de Nevada, New Mexico Hispanic Roundtable, LULAC de Orange County, the Mexican-American Political Association, Greenlining Institute, SEIU, and Asociacion Jose Marti.
Political elected leaders that addressed the Summit included Speaker of the California Assembly Fabian Nunez, Mexican Senator from the State of Zacatecas Raymundo Cardenas, California Assemblymember Hector De La Torre from South Gate, Councilman of Riverside Andy Melendez and the Vice Mayor of the City of Maywood Felipe Aguirre.
Dr. Armando Navarro, Professor of Ethnic Studies at UCR and coordinator of the Summit, said that NAHR plans to focus on leaders in America, Mexico, and Central and South American countries. There are plans to send a delegation to Mexico to meet with President Vicente Fox. Also, NAHR plans to meet with Senator Diane Feinstein, other members of Congress and Ambassadors from other countries to solicit their support against H.R. 4437.
"If they come out openly and protest, that would influence the Senate because it would create a diplomatic problem for the Bush administration," Professor Navarro said. "Basically we as Mexicanos and Latinos are facing what some of us describe as literally a political war," he added. Dr. Navarro concluded, "Understanding the horrific anti-immigrant political climate rampant throughout the country and the severity of the consequences of the racist Sensenbrenner legislation, in particular the building of an Iron Curtain along the U.S./Mexico border, Mexicanos and Latinos in this country are under a state of siege reminiscent of the McCarthy Era."

by ALTA CALIFORNIA: The Tale of Two Cities
Ernesto Cienfuegos
La Voz de AztlanLos Angeles, Alta California - January 27, 2006 - (ACN) Recent events at two California cities best exemplify what Patrick J. Buchanan wrote in his book "Death of the West". The cities are Maywood in Los Angeles County and Costa Mesa, located about 25 miles southeast, in Orange County .
In Maywood it was just about three years ago that Police Chief Bruce Leflar and his cops would routinely set up rush-hour roadblocks on the city's two main boulevards to check every driver's paperwork. His primary targets were Mexican undocumented immigrants driving without valid licenses
The Maywood police dragnets enabled the city to impound the immigrant's vehicles and then auction them off after 30 days. Police Chief Leflar bragged that in one year his cops had confiscated over 1,800 vehicles and had made about $1, 000,000 dollars for the City of Maywood from their share of the vehicle auctions, fees and fines.
Maywood, a city with about 28,300 inhabitants, was founded in 1912 and up to about 1970 it was almost an exclusively "White Oakie" working class community. The demographics of the city started changing dramatically about twenty years ago and today its population is 96.3% Latino and only about 2.6% White. The 2.6% White population or about 739 people are mostly old folks who live in the city's rest homes.
Soon after the Los Angeles Times ran a story concerning the abuses of Maywood Police Chief Lefler, the Mexicano community started to organized politically and last November it elected three new councilmembers of Mexican descent. The new council wasted no time in making changes in how Maywood treated its immigrants. On Tuesday, the City Council voted unanimously to declare Maywood, an "Immigrant Sanctuary".
Felipe Aguirre, the newly elected Vice-Mayor of Maywood, said in Spanish, Estamos creando un santuario para los inmigrantes, queremos que vengan. Si en otras partes los atacan, como en Costa Mesa y Cypress Park, queremos decirles que aquí pueden sentirse seguros. Vice-Mayor Aguirre also pronounced the city's unanimity against HR4437, federal legislation that seeks to criminalize undocumented immigrants.
Costa Mesa, on the other hand, is where Maywood was about 10, years ago. At one time, many of Maywood's "White Oakies" were moving to Costa Mesa and were predominant but today Latinos already comprise about 32% of the city's 108,724 total population.
In a tumultuous City Council meeting on January 3, 2006, the City of Costa Mesa voted to allow its police department to stop Mexican-Americans and other Latinos to ask them for their immigration documents. The City Council voted 3-2 to train approximately 40 Costa Mesa detectives and other police officers to enforce immigration laws, a function that has been the exclusive purview of the federal government.
The Costa Mesa mayor and its police chief, both Whites, were extremely biased while conducting the City Council meeting. They utilized a heavy hand against Mexican-Americans that were present to express their views but not against Whites that included members of the anti-Mexican "Minutemen Vigilantes".
The Costa Mesa Mayor Allan Mansoor at one point ordered Police Chief John Hensley to remove the spokesman of the Tonantzin Collective, Coyotl Tezcalipoca, from the city council chambers. Approximately five police officers grabbed the leader of the Tonantzin Collective and dragged him out into the street. Coyotl Tezcalipoca was later charged with a series of felonies.
Mayor Allan Mansoor and Police Chief John Hensley are today attempting to "hold the line" as was attempted in Maywood. It looks like Costa Mesa and other similar cities is where Whites will make their last stand in Alta California. Patrick J. Buchanan wrote with much truth and with great insight in his book "The Death of the West". The chickens are finally coming home to roost . . . for good!
Maybe because they're too preoccupied with the "American Idol" thread. The number of posts on that thread is in the THOUSANDS while this thread will be lucky to go over a couple hundred.
No, that's not it at all. The American Idol thread is continued from week to week, 3 nights a week, and that's the reason it's got so many posts. They don't start a new thread every week.
I think one of the biggest reasons people shy away from the illegal threads is because they get tired of being called racists, idiots, and what ever else the Bushbots want to call us. I think they must FReepmail each other as soon as they see an immigration thread hit the board, because they all show up at the same time and start their attacks. Kinda like the RATS do for a news conference.
Nobody calling names on this thread.
The See-BS propaganda machine is at it again.
It's over. The invaders have achieved "political critical mass" and they now know it.
In Chicago - maybe. In LA, for sure. In other states, perhaps.
Make LA and Chicago, plus Denver and a few other cities strongholds or enclaves of the invasion, and we're thrown onto defense everywhere. WE'll be backpedaling all the way to defeat now.
BTTT
So far. Maybe they won't show up before this one dies. It's so nice not to have to deal with their BS. :o)
